The greeting sequences dropped for ~ 75% at minimum. Less friendly athmosphere.

I never used setmsg much. But for certain situations it's very convenient, such as when you're a busy dealer like Cody.
Or a pirate in a busy region, when you need to react immediately in a busy situation.
Removing it doesn't stop lolwut insta-engaging. It just adds a couple seconds to the ordeal.
Basically, I wasn't affected very much by this, but I can understand how people like Cody would resent this change, while the people it's supposed to target probably won't care.

Instead of /l1's you're getting engaged without a word more frequently now.
Am I doing it right? Jokes aside, I haven't noticed much of a difference yet.

Since /setmsg was removed, I found out around 10% of people make up statistics, aside from that, everything seems normal.

It's pretty hard to get ships to stop for scans, chase them down, and type it out all at the same time, but I make do.
I've seen a lot less greetings and scans though. Engagements have gone from, at least, semi-lengthy /1 and /2 to 'engaging'. About the same, but eh.
I don't really care either way, didnt change (or solve) anything important.

The best engagement notice I've had since set messages went was "Kill the cruiser!"
Yeh, this whole "Improveing peoples RP interactions" thing hasen't really happened has it.
