Greetings, humans.

We have noticed your base in the same system as a large unknown installation as you know, and you have allowed the Surveyor to dock. Now the Research Division of the Consensus wishes to study said installation, and we need a Base of Operations close to it, and yours seems the logical decision. We are requesting a room in the station aswell as space for a research vessel to dock there. We want to know if that would be possible and if so, what you want in return.

Hello Consensus unit, this is Elise Pennybrooke.
I'm currently acting as chief of the Syndicate since my superiors seem to have gone.....missing.
I know I've met some of your units before, both at the Bazaar and in other places, and we've always been on good terms, soooo......

The Syndicate is in a bit of trouble at the moment. Basically, we can offer you all the space we've got at the Bazaar since, well, it isn't really being used for much of anything else.
There's a number of empty and half-finished rooms you can use; I hope your standards aren't too high. I guess they wouldn't be.

So docking access is all good as far as I'm concerned.

Now, about that mysterious object......yeah, we know about it.
Personally, I avoid it. I'm not the fearful type but that's the kinda of stuff I don't want to get involved in.

But if you want to study it, I won't stop you.

I gotta request though - and I guess you know this and you're probably incapable of forgetting anything, but anyway - I gotta request that you move to and from the Bazaar with utmost discretion. Its location is, after all, a secret, as you well know.

Finally, what do we want in return? Actually, we've got something.
We could use a large quantity of Super Alloy.

It's produced in nearby Newcastle by Bowex, but what's left of our hauling fleet is pretty occupied as it is.
I don't know exactly what sort of hauling capacity your fleet has, but I'm sure we can work something out.

The Consensus' Logistics Fleet is busy with our own operations, but a single transport can be deployed. The Research vessel also won't lead any ships to your station. We just need empty rooms, to install a stationary AI Core leading the examination of samples and a mooring point for the Research Vessel. Said Vessel will launch from Planet Gammu as soon as possible.

Glad you can get a transport to help us out.
In exchange for the room, I'd like you to bring.....let's say, 16 000 units of Super Alloy to the Bazaar.
Don't ask me how I came up with this number, it's totally made up. I don't usually do this sort of thing.
Seriously, I can't believe I'm handling administrative stuff like this. But whatever, I'll work stuff out.

This amount is far less than what we actually still need. If you're interested, we could also arrange a price and we'll pay you for additional alloy.

Anyway, there's no need to hurry with the alloy business. The whole construction operation is very slow at the moment and that's alright, I guess.

But back to the matter at hand. You say you need some empty rooms to set up an AI Core. That's fine.
However, I want this to be an isolated system. Not connected to the station mainframe. I don't know how all this stuff works exactly but I kinda feel uncomfortable having an unknown AI in the actual base network.
No offense. I guess you can't feel offended anyway, huh?

And some other thoughts I had: I'm not much of a scientist, but maybe the Syndicate can somehow benefit from whatever results your research yields.
Therefor I'd like you to share those with us.

And finally: Although it's unlikely, you may meet various other ships around the Bazaar, a number of factions have access.
Please do your best to get along with them in every way possible. If for whatever reason some sorta conflict breaks out, take it away from the Bazaar.

I guess that's all for now. Consensus ships already had docking access as you know, so your research vessel can come in any time.
