The Royal Navy is a branch of her Majesty's armed forces. It is the largest and most expensive fighting force that the Bretonian citizens have at their disposal. The Royal Navy has had a very long history, being traced back to the start of water warfare. The motto of "If you wish for peace, prepare for war" has really presented what the Royal Navy is all about. It ends up being the first line of defense in the survival of space-bound civilians, structures and equipment as well as the shield of all planets. In times of house-wide war the Royal Navy puts hundreds of thousands of lives on the line for queen and country. Sadly personnel numbers have risen beyond one million and as a unfortunate side affect the men and women become just numbers. In fact Bretonia has so many people who are able to step forward to the enemy at the door that equipment becomes more valuable than the people who use it.

The Royal Navy conducts a variety of roles such as colonization of new worlds such as below. They also transport vast numbers of RAF equipment and personnel as well as Army equipment and personnel all over Bretonia. When it is inter-planet transport the RAF uses large planes to move the troops and tanks but when you need to send hundreds of thousands of equipped soldiers and entire regiments of battle tanks or fighter aircraft to another planet or system then the Royal Navy gets given responsibility.

The Royal Navy also commands eleven fleets that do battle with the enemy be it Kusarians, pirates, terrorists or anything space borne that is a threat to the public or other forces. It truly is the shield and sword of her majesty. If the navy gets their butts kicked in space then it is down to the army and air force to be the last stand.

Whale Island, Porsmouth Base

Whale Island, Porsmouth Base is the Royal Navys head quarters that is within the main harbor of New London City. First created in 80 AS as a dockyard primarily for ships belonging to sea and space vessels for Navy and some air force personnel. However the base was torn down and rebuilt in 600 AS and again later in 808 AS. The base is fully functional to keep save the occupants from nuclear strikes of the city and ports, forty percent of the base is underground. The surface structure can withstand direct bombardment from conventional and energy based weapons but it will eventually give in. The hope is that within that time frame the occupants will be relieved as friendly forces repel the hostiles.

The Royal Navy has a wide range of Security Forces that are on board ships to protect them from the inside and patrolling ports, landing strips and anywhere were expensive navy equipment is sent.

Royal Marines

The Royal Marines were once elite amphibious infantry and still are. Also known as the Bretonian Commandos. They deploy in the vast seas all over Bretonia to fight the enemy where ever they may be. However times have changed and so have the marines. Now they specialize in space combat. Unlike the Troopers who deal death in a cloak and dagger method, the marines are muscle who storm the enemy off their friendly facilities or in large scale boarding parties they take over hostile assets. They are soldiers with an edge. When the situation goes to pot, and either a city is about to fall, or requires re-taking, the Armed Forces bombard key hostile positions, storm in with masses of infantry and fighting vehicles and deploy behind enemy lines, platoons of Marines to strike the enemy in their heart.

A core component of the house's Rapid Deployment Force, the Marines are capable of operating independently and are a highly trained force. With limited vehicles and support, the marines have some of the finest equipment available and with it, deal death and destruction to where ever the enemy treads. Estimated size is a little over 100,000.

Interstellar Royal Troopers

The Bretonian Royal Navy has a special branch of elite space fighters known as the Interstellar Royal Troopers. They exist primarily for ship to ship boarding but also as sabotage units on hostile capital ships and structures. They are able to breath in space for over five hours alone, with their masks and suits allowing their used Carbon Dioxide emissions to be filtered and reverted chemically back into oxygen. Gravity boots and weighted gear allows them to navigate easily over the outside structure of target space ship and either get inside to deal death and destruction or rig charges on the outside and push themselves off the target and back into friendly territory. Most common tasks of the IRT are space-equipment ranging from stations to battleships sabotage and boarding hostile warships in the heat of battle to either capture or disable. However the IRT also support ground forces when required. The main operations center for the Interstellar Royal Troops is the moon base on Ashington Planet.

The members of the IRT are specially selected members of the Royal Marines which are a force operated under the Royal Navy. The Troopers are the rarest and most expensive to train and upkeep per human, force of her majesty's Armed Forces. Most Troopers rarely see home often if at all after passing selection. Chemical and biomechanics alterations are conducted on new recruits to improve their bodies for effective operations. They are refereed to as super soldiers but despite this their survival rate is not as good as the name suggests. Majority do die when sent on operations and skirmishes. The number of combat ready troopers last recorded was a little over 5,000.

Warehouse 003 is part of a miniature manufacturing city called Bastion that is comprised of over twenty two warehouses as shown. With road networks, landing strips, repair docks, training buildings and living quarters, the site is a living and breathing city. The image above shows one of the many manufacturing facilities that builds the ships for the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and civilian market. However despite building numerous bombers and fighters for the Air Force as well as fighters and transports for civilians, the site is operated and tagged as property of the Royal Navy. Many fighters, bombers and transports get built in the warehouses on a daily basis. With over fifteen thousand workers and personnel as well as construction robotics, the site is the largest facility of its type on planet New London.

Leeds Forge City

Leeds Forge City covers over twenty four miles of the planets surface. It is a heavily guarded and populated sector of the planet. With no regard to healthy fuel consumption, the air pollution is extremely concentrated at the city and gas masks are standard issue for all workers. The forge city has mile long underground tunnels and hangers filled with transport vehicles and ships passing supplies and materials all over the site. It makes everything from combat aircraft for the air force, navy and army aviation to civilian transports and space craft. As well also manufacturing military and police equipment on all fronts as well as components for space stations of a lot of variants.
