Lately, I have read some posts where people have posted their email address. I remember an old thread awhile back talking about how there are programs that scans some forums to flood you with spam..(Couldnt find the thread in search, sorry)

I do remember in that old thread, they recommend when you post your email address, you type it in a way for these programs to not recognize it, for example:

Instead of typing john_smith@server.com, type john_smith "at" server.com.

I am not sure if this is a problem anymore in these forums or not, but I thought I would pass this on in case people would be flooded with spam.

..*edit*.. Whoops!, I posted this in wrong forums. Sorry about that.

There have been a number of spambots that managed to get through. I've seen a whopping to in nearly six months. Agreed though, it's much safer to post it that manner, if at all needed.
