In the for what it's worth department (which isn't much) - I used to use the only color that I could see easily, since I'm red/green color blind. So it may not be a conscious choice - it may simply be that he's doing something cool (in his own eyes) or that he's just being ... odd / different / peculiar ...

And on a personal note, after 13 hours of working, approximately 4 ounces of Seagrams Honey, 4 ounces of Long Island Iced Tea (pre-mixed), and 8 ounces of sweet tea (for color and other flavor) make one hell of a nicely intoxicating drink that about has me ready to fall over where I sit.
