Greetings old friend,
I'm sure you've noticed
it's been a while since
since my disappearance.
Time has not done me fairly,
During my absence I've seen
the very empire we built crumble
and wither like a beheaded snake.
Where have I been? Well,I've been
lurking in the shadows, Kepler and
Galileo is a great piece of space that's
good for that. The flagship we had you
good folk help us build has been my
prison for the last while. It's proof there
that with our friendship that I can conc-
lude that she is fully functional now, with
a couple issues that are not surprising.
So I have returned and I am going to
set things right. We remember those
that stood by us, that assisted us in
times of war and that the Liberty triad
profits unchallenged by anyone else
within the realms of our collective
empire so it is here I am, extending
arms to you to join me once more
in maintaining a monopoly on
the Liberty Black Market. Only
then will we be powerful as
we once were. Tell me,
what has been going
on around here?
Holy hell.. could it really be you!?!
Well it is sure good to here from you again!!
To answer your question.. hmm.
Where should I begin..
Do I start by telling you about how the Liberty Navy is searching desperately for reasons to have us outlawed?
They have resorted to paying off desperate Junkers to request assistance from us.
Then having that Junker rat out our location so that they can catch us.
For us the LN have become very suspect.
There is talk around the scrapyards that Gallic operatives are planted within their ranks.
This witch hunt on Congress is merely an attempt to hide a larger more sinister goal.
Keep the Navy chasing us so that Gallia can move in on Liberty.
By holding us at bay they accomplish two things.
Prevent us from forming our on formidable defense against them in Bretonia.
Wag the dog so the Navy is more focused on us versus their real enemy.
Sad really they seemingly do not care that the wolves are at their door.
Remember that lil project we planned and executed in Humboldt?
Well you saw it in its prime and the silver was BOOMING!
Loads of ore was coming daily and Salt was a very busy place.
Sad to say though.. those days are over.
The station is a practically a ghost town now.
No one comes or goes and the ore is gone.
Now the base just sits in the field as a reminder of better times.
Or should I tell you about how we have seen Reavers helping Gallia too?
That's right they have assisted the GRN attack us throughout Bretonia.
No mention of our agreement and when asked.
They say that the arrangement was with you only.
Now that leadership has changed in LR they no longer honor it.
Even going as far as to attack our barges.
One was damaged to the point that it had to be scrapped.
Truly hated putting the old girl down.. She'd been with us a long time.
In fact it was one of the ships that assisted us in helping y'all with your builds.
Plus it was the first barge the Congress acquired many moons ago.
Now Forum is gone and she will be sorely missed.
Perhaps I should tell you about the random renegade Rogues though.
These independent Rogues are quick to renounce all of our previous efforts.
Laughing at you along with trying to pirate or attack us.
Even joining the Reavers and helped attack the Forum in Colorado leading to its demise.
To tell ya the truth.. Your old regiment the Liberty Rogues have been less than helpful there too.
Now in all fairness I hadn't reached out to them about the situation.
I held off contacting them since these were not official ships.
The Congress has had its own share of problems due to indy Junkers.
So I was sympathetic and didn't want to accuse LR or hold them accountable.
Never contacted the Reavers either since I have nothing to say to those blood thirsty savages.
They've made it abundantly clear that they would rather attack us.
Even when offered more creds than they would get for destroying our ships.
Showing that their not really after the money as much as they are after Junkers
Still there had been enough attacks against our ships at the hands of Rogues.
That banning them from our stations would've been warranted.
Again I chose not to..
This time only because of all the hard work we did together in the past.
In the days before when you were in charge.
I wished many times that those days would eventually return.
Seeing you here gives me hope and maybe this is the start of a new dawn.
While I don't expect you to deal with any of this.
Still since you asked.. I thought you should know.
It's good to hear from you again and should you ever need it.
Saltese will give you and your crew safe harbor.
Next time your by there.. gimme a call.
The bar is still fully stocked.
I'll meet ya for drinks.
Of course I'll buy!
Cya soon
I hope.
Well, the proverbial fecal matter has
splattered across the roof since I had
to disappear, and I have to say I regret to
see all we worked for unfold and become
irrelevant to todays dealings. Well I can tell
you now, James, we will reignite our alliance,
we will look out for you and you can bet your ass
that MY Rogues will treat Junkers with the respect
and dignity that you deserve and not an ounce less.
I thank you for not shutting shop to Rogues, as I
can only imagine the temptation would have
been overwhelming, security against hostiles
is hard when your doors are open. And I am
ashamed to hear that Rogues and Reavers
are fighting against the Congress, the very
thing I worked so hard to prevent is now
cause for the demise of one of your
most weathered work horses. I can
only offer my apologies for allowing
such atrocities to happen whilst I
was hiding. For this I will endeavor
to rectify this issue so we can at least
continue our relationships as allies.
Gallia, are they those mongrel frog eating
twats with a carrot up their ass? I met one
once, can't say I was impressed. If that's
what they're made of, then Liberty Navy
shouldn't have an issue fending them
off, which in turn assures me that
these wolves you speak of are quite
simply mere Poodle puppies. Our
'dogs' will quite simply outclass
these pompous pricks. As for
the LN causing you greif,
well, you and I both know
we can screw with their
minds in the only way
we know how.
Saltese a ghost town, huh?
Well despite all these negative
vibes I feel from ya, I can happily
tell you that the Dreadnaught you
helped us rebuild is working better
than we had hoped. It's a testament
to our alliance and a true icon of power
that our triad with the Hackers wields.
So with that I wish to let you know that
we may need docking access for our
big girl in the near future on Saltese.
She's too big for many of our rocks,
so we're very limited on mooring
locations. I'll bring her down to
Humboldt and you can inspect
her yourself if you'd like too.
Plus, it's been some time since
you and I shared a drink together.
Let me know when it's good for you
and we'll come down.
It's good to hear from you, old friend.
Let this new dawn shine upon this
new era in the Liberty Underworld.
