Today, Rheinland was under attack from two rogue clans, after first being taunted by a pilot called {TDK} Reaper, two more pilots belonging to Phantom going by the Names of "Ka" and "Glock" proceeded to attack the Small [RM] Patrol which was traveling round the Rhurfeld at the time.
The reason behind the unprecedented attack in New Berlin is as yet unknown but Rhienland Military suffered 2 casaultys before the SF kindly offered their help.
And to make matters more confusing, it Seems, that the DVL have some form of power over the phantoms.

Reports are coming in, that DVL are now helping RM and SF fight off the Phantom and TDK attack..... one of their battleships just exited hyperspace and has joined us in the battle.

Ok, this some general infomation to clear things up abit.
Firstly the {TDK} is The Death Knights, the phantoms answer to the 8492nd.
Secondly, there was no DVL battleship fighting in NB.
Thirdly, this shold be in the RP forum not here.

This is SNN with an update to the reports coming from rhienland tonight!
The first shots were fired at the RM by a small group of phantoms rushing to defend the junker base here in new berlin.
After this attack the lone survivor raised the alarm and a taskforce of one RM cruiser and an SF battlestar were sent to destroy the phantoms and the junker depot.
It seems that this taskforce was destroyed.
Shortly afterwards scouts reported that 2 freelance pirates had joined the phantom group and that they were headed to new berlin.
It was around this time that a DVL battleship that had turned up, continually ordered the phantom and their allies to leave*, then disappeared along with the surviving RM.
So the phantoms headed to new berlin expecting little or no resistance.
What they found was a second SF battlestar, a DVL transport and a freelancer.
Along with the brave (read persistant) police and navy (the NPCs) they defended new berlin to the last.
However the battle was fairly one-sided and the phantoms were left to rampage through the space over new berlin, only the constant reinforcements sent by the police and navy stopped them form landing on new berlin itself.

*(why a DVL thought he could order us out of RM space is beyond me, we did tell him several times he couldn't do that and to go away, oh well he's kriegs now)
