Mariella stood on the airfield and watched Brownings new ship launching.
He would never stop looking for hard jobs.. Did he mention to work for the MiD in Rheinland ?
Well payed, but he would be under fire, several times.. She sighed, when she turned, thinking on a visit downtown.
A red Sabre appeared in the sky and it was nice, to see the reflections of the sunlight on it.
She stopped walking and just watched the ship.. taking a break.. it sounded so nice.. All the time, Browning
needed, to get his new ship started, was a time of waiting and planning.. most of the plans were already past.
She smiled, murmering: We did it well, till now. Maybe we can borrow some more time to relax. I start to hate cockpits.
With her eyes closed, she felt the warm sun on her skin, when she suddenly had a curious emotion.
As she opened her eyes, she saw Bernard standing with a girl, next to the red Sabre. He was blushing, when
he noticed her looks.. Looking down to the floor, the hands on his back, he looked very abashed..
Maybe it was better to leave them alone.. She let her feet carry her to an old chappel, next the airfield.
Let me try a little ban on these Devils.. We had, but it seems, we still need a little more time to rest..
She closed her eyes, concentrated and sunk into a dreamless kind of sleep.
Bernard was aware of her thoughts, of her angelic eyes not missing a single detail, he felt awkward. He felt Mariella, The Angel, retreating...
Nightfall saw numerous faces, countless places among the stars long dissapeared and stars not yet born. He felt again the pain of an Angel's Kiss and the emptyness she left behind. It became clear he had to let go...
"... her eyes!" he had a thought that was not completely his own.
"I was lost in the depth of your eyes, my Lady" he replied to the girl's question.
They were standing in the light rain which just started. Both of them silent. Looking at each other decided not to give up. A battle of sharp glances that could eclipse the legendary skirmishes between the Corsairs and the Hessians in Omega-5, leaving the same number of victims.
The rain became heavier. A bell could be heard in the distance...

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor
Thanks for taking the time to look at the piece everyone. We do love to get carried
away sometimes ... But hey, its just RP ... Isn't it ? Cast take a bow please.
If you like the weird and whacky and not the mundane ..
Some person who decided it was too much for their intelligence had too post offtopic
elsewhere ... You know who you are ... Shame on you hijacking The Damned's inactive
thread for your own selfish purposes. Backfired though, eh.
Chapter two coming to a Forum close to you in the near future ...................................
I thank you.
