4. Why is this request necessary for the continuation of this character's roleplay?
It would be somewhat awkward to have to leave the Thresher hulls on Durban indefinitely, after they've already been constructed from the ground up, paid for, and with a combat-ready crew already trained.
5. What short-term and long-term goals are you planning to achieve on this character?
In the short-term, the Threshers will be used to engage heavy assets belonging to unlawful groups surrounding the Omicrons, seeking to vindicate the trust that the Core has granted to them.
In the long-term, Aegis will seek to improve the equipment and weaponry on the Threshers. There are various groups that supply exotic/codename equipment and weaponry, and Aegis will seek co-operation with such groups to further enhance these capital ships. Additionally, the Cruisers may be used as leverage to negotiate better terms for pre-existing and/or future contracts. Finally, as capital ships are not usually welcome in House Space, it may also be in Aegis' interests to negotiate for exemptions within these systems in the future.

The Aegis Initiative sends a message over the comm channels to Core, expressing their need for heavier assets and outlining the reasons why. Both sides agree to negotiate in person in Nauru, detailing the materials required, the payment owed, and the training program required to familiarise a crew of Aegis pilots with the Threshers. Aegis outsources delivery of the materials to well-known companies, and provides escort services for them.
