I believe everyone just used to pop out of game, to get Newark back to neutral, so much quicker, though less
underwear changes and a lack of adrenaline boosting needed ... Happy days.
Manhattan to Delta ... I can remember when Minor wasn't included in the trip, and the nomads seemed to have
a little less bite, then again TV was in black and white too ...

There are some *very* nice little runs in the New York system, as I've found out with a program that I found recently.

It takes a bit of effort to find the routes, unlike the Trade Route Calculator, but once you do it will even show you the fastest path and it uses jump holes to do it too!

Well it's one of the first trade routes you can do in vanilla, if you haven't playeed the vanilla SP campaign then your missing out on a great way to learn some combat skills pretty fast and safely (mainly cos you don't lose all your cargo, bots, batts, missile/mine/CM ammo etc).

Besides, NY is safe, unless you start RPing as a pirate as soon as you launch... Then your in deep trouble.

Untill you get a cargo I think the best thing is to do missions, once you get the rhino you can start trading.

My favorite thing to do, (expecially since it was not feasable in the original version) is too fly to colorado and mine Silver, its not the safest thing to do but generally the rewards are great. Once you have a good enough ship you can then mine the xeno's as well :yahoo:

Hee hee! Alternatively your rep with Xenos starts off almost neutral, bag a couple of depots/police and then you won't have them buzzing around your head and annoying you whilst you mine silver.

Yeah its a great ploy, a Rhino full of silver fetches about $50k in NY, only 5min run away. Ok it won't get u into a Battlestar but its a good leg-up.
