He sighed softly awakening, stretching as he moved the covers off of him, his spartan style cot being messy as it usually was. Reaching down and grabbing a shirt, putting it on as he sat down at his computer console, speaking loud and clear, in a Bretonian accent. "Computer, any missions for today?" The computer spoke in a female voice. "Yes, Lieutenant, you have one mission today. Would you like me to bring up the recording?" He spoke back, sighing a bit while he rubbed his eyes. "Yes, computer."
As he answered with 'Yes', the screen brought up an image of a middle-aged woman, speaking loud and clear. "Well Lieutenant, glad to have you back, and let me skip the sarcastic comment you'll make and say it for you. Yes, we are sending you away again, simply because we don't like you. You cause more trouble than good when you're in our space and doing nothing. So lets make this short. Recon mission to Kusari space. Gather information and assassinate the selected members, which will show up your screen shortly. Do it and come back. Try not to kill one of our own this time."
He snorted softly, looking at the screen as five members came up onto the screen, stroking his chin. Shrugging, then nodding as he stood up, scratching his head. The Lieutenant, or rather, known as Lieutenant Kell Russel, was a fairly averaged sized man, fit, but not overly fit as if he worked out. Short, messy brown hair, and usually a fairly well kempt man, Kell prefered a casual lifestyle.
He wasn't messy, but he wasn't neat, and he was, at a glance your average joe. Which, was infact the point. In the reality of the situation, Lieutenant Kell Russel was a Special Ops member in the Bretonian Armed Forces. He went into Kusarian Space. He found. He killed and he got out. That was his life. Aslong as he got paid, he didn't care, even as he thought about his life while he put on his jump suit and walked through the station, he didn't care.
He spoke clearly to the dock manager. "Get her ready, and I hope she's fully outfitted this time, or I'm coming back and putting a blaster shot through your chest." The manager trembled lightly, backing away and allowing Kell to go forth. Kell was unusually sadistic. He took a joy in killing Kusarians. Whether they be man, woman or child, he loved killing them.
This was why BAF didn't enjoy keeping him within Bretonian Space, his trigger finger got.. edgy, to say the least, and even as he undocked from the station, he very, very badly wanted to fire upon a passing Transport, full of goods. It was just so tempting! However, he knew his duty and when he undocked he docked with the Tradelane, and as he went at a high speed, he suddenly stopped.
The tradelane had been disrupted, and as Kell looked down at his scanners, it showed multiple contacts. Five Mollies. Lovely, one of them spoke in a gruff voice.
"'Ell, 'ell, boys. Lookie what we 'ave here. A lil' BAF in his big ol' Templar, eh?" They all laughed as their weapons began to charge, Kell spoke with a sigh. "Look boys.. Do I have to kill more of your kind? I've already killed a record.. sixteen of you. Get some better pilots or stop bugging me."
The Molly seemed absolutely shocked, all of them seemed shocked as the head one spoke. "Yer gonna pay fer that, boy." As soon as he said that, Kell knew exactly what was about to happen, his weapons had already been charged as the five Mollys began to fire upon him, dodging and strafing left to right, up to down as he sleekly flew and dodged them, releasing one of his missiles as he launched a mine, and then another mine, then another, skillfully laying a trap as the missile destroyed a shield.
He taunted the Molly he was attacking as he came closer, and then Kell launched a Cruise Disruptor and.. boom! It exploded the Molly and sent the other's drifting away for the moment, shocked in their partner's death and the fact their shields had been eliminated. Kell took this chance, and with a sadistic laugh, he fired shots at one of the Mollies, blowing him up as they regained their composure.
However, their morale was lost, and as another one of their partners went down, the three remaining were trembling, the psychotic laughter from the so called Naval Officer causing them to weaken their attacks, and as another mine hit one of their friends and caused him to explode, the other two began to flee.
Kell spoke, loud and clear with a sadistic laugh, his venomous voice echoing throughout their Comms. "Why are you running?! I just wanted to play with some puppies! Come on backkkk! HA HA HA!" He flew after them, releasing missiles on both of them, sending their shields down as he released another missile, the cannonball missile ramming into one as his engines were shot, he began drifting endlessly, speaking in a trembling voice.
"P-please! S-stop, I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean t-to cause trouble! Please! Spare me! MERCY! I-i'll do an--" He was cut short as he drifted around, his front end seeing a yellow missile coming towards him, blackness surrounding him as the explosion caused an explosion of scrap, the last one attempting to engage cruise and when he did, a cruise disruptor slammed into him, causing him to turn back and attempt to fire.
The last thing he heard was the sadistic laughter as the missiles came flying into him, the explosion a light of fireworks as Kell laughed again, beginning to sing. "I see trees.. of green.. and red roses too.. I see a big blue sky above... And I say to myself... what a wonderful world! HA HA HA!"
He docked with the Trade lane again, continuing onto his destination through Leeds, skillfully sneaking into Kusari space, setting up his communications and other things, surveying the area to find signs of his targets, knowing they'd come this way, he leaned back in his comfortable chair, reading a newspaper, in fact.
However, several hours later, there was a comm blaring and he heard the name of his victims, flying up and disrupting the Trade lane as he looked on. To his surprise, he noticed several GC girls there with him. He spoke, slightly curious. "You girls here to take care of these guys too?" The woman which he assumed was the leader of the group spoke, in her Kusarian Accent. "Yes, we are. I assume, since you're a Bretonian, you're not going to turn on us?"
Chuckling lightly, he shrugged. "I don't plan on it. Get in my way and I might fire though. We've got incoming." He began charging his weapons, and noted with a bit of disappointment that the GC were in Very Heavy Fighters and Light Fighters, and then his disappointment became despair as he saw two Gunboats come on his scanner range, with six Very Heavy Fighters.
Whereas the GC six very heavy fighters and four Light fighters. Seven very heavy fighters including him. He knew this fight was gonna be a hard one, but he had to have some faith.. And a bit of a sadistic grin came across his face as he knew.. this was gonna be fun.
One of the Kusari Gunboat pilots spoke in a clear voice. "Golden Chrysanthemums, out of the way or you will be engaged and destroyed!" The leader of the group spoke, laughing softly. "No chance! Engage them!" Kell followed forward as the Gunboats began firing upon the oncoming GC, one of the Light Fighters already down as the KNF fighters flew forward.
The engagement started in a flurry of lasers, missiles and mines, and one of the KNF fighters went down, along with two of the GC light fighters as soon as the fight started. Kell broke off, speaking in the secure comms for the GC and himself. "Fire on the Gunboat I'm on! Get its shields down!" The GC replied by firing upon that Gunboat. Two of the girls had some guns that made pretty good shield busters, and within a few moments the shields went down as the Gunboat continued to fire.
Kell grinned as he took aim, flying past the Gunboat as he released five mines in an instant, drifting back to get a clear shot as the mines hovered into a certain places, barely hovering as he released a Train cruise disruptor, sending two of the KNF Fighters down and causing a chain reaction within the Gunboat as it blew up. Kell began his sadistic laughter. "Yes! More! AHAHAHAHA!"
The odds were in the GC's favor now. The KNF having 3 Fighters and one Gunboat, the GC having 5 Fighters at this point, two of which were Light Fighters. In the swarm, Kell released a missile, ramming into one of the GC light fighters, exploding it as Kell's laughter was heard, the leader of the GC group speaking. "What are you doing?! You're taking out our own!"
He didn't listen at all. He continued his sadistic laughter, firing randomly at anything that moved, and he suddenly purposely rammed into the last GC light fighter, causing it to explode from how large his ship was, going for the Gunboat, it's shields down as he released another chain reaction mine wave, combining it with his Cannonball, it caused another explosion, the Gunboat being destroyed as he spoke, blood-lust in his voice.
"More! MORE! I want more blood!" The KNF forces were retreating as the GC began to pull back, however, they didn't expect Kell to come barreling towards them, firing upon the GC as the leader drifted away, her last two wing-mates gone, rage coming over her. "You'll pay for that, Bretonian!" She charged towards him, releasing a volley of missiles, mines and everything she had.
He released his own volley of missiles, releasing his mines, and in a beautiful explosion of red, yellow and white, it went black for Kell. Little did he know how much time had passed, he was laying on a hard, metal cot, in what he believed to be a transport, a Guard knocking on his door as he groaned loudly. "Shut up, scum."
Kell asked in a groggy voice where he was, and where he was going, the guard laughing a bit statistically. "You're goin' to Malta, to work in the Cardamine fields!" As soon as Kell heard that, he slammed against the door. "Let me out of here! Before I kill you and slam your spine so far up your arse, it'll come out of your throat!" The guard stumbled a bit, scurrying away as Kell sat back down, grumbling to himself.
It seemed just his luck.. but also some bad luck that he had woken up when he did, as emergency lights began to flare, someone speaking in a frantic and trembled voice. "Incoming enemies! Identified as a Phantom! Abandon ship, I repeat, abandon ship!" Luckily for him, the Prison ship was loaded with eject pods for all of the prisoner's rooms, and he sat back, grinning a bit.
Then suddenly, he launched out, a massive explosion as he looked out his window, which was immensely small. Seeing the sleek, black ship, he was honestly impressed. The Phantom had easily overcome an entire Prison Liner, and as sixteen escape pods that had gotten out were tractored in, he was still impressed. The door opening as the Phantom woman looked in, a sadistic grin coming across her face as he sat back.
He simply said one thing, which wiped the grin off the Phantom woman's face. "Sup." She frowned, walking forward, holding out her hand as a razor sharp knife extended. He looked at it and shrugged, while she continued to grin, walking forward and suddenly stabbing the blade into his shoulder, causing him to yell in agony.
He spoke in a pained, nearly trembling voice, grinning sadistically at her. "Gods yes! Do it again!" She frowned, before stabbing into his shoulder again, and he yelled in agony. "AHAHAHA! YEAH!" She stabbed him again, and again, wanting some kind of negative reaction from him, instead of a positive. She couldn't understand what was happening. None of her prisoners actually -enjoyed- the pain. Eventually, after many, many stabs and him bleeding profusely, she stepped back. Panting lightly.
She giggled lightly, ripping her knife out as he grinned at her, clutching his shoulder to stop some of the bleeding, speaking in a sadistic voice. "You like the pain I give to you, Bretonian..?" Nodding somewhat he grins, standing up and speaking in a pained, but pleasured voice. "Damn right I do."
She walked point, putting one finger on his chin, leaning forward as if she was gonna kiss him, before lightly slapping him and turning away. "Come with me then.." She grinned sadistically, opening another one of the pods as he followed, having tied his arm up to stop the bleeding, despite the many stabs, he had minor, but painful use of his arm, grinning at the Kusari prisoner, the Phantom held the bloody knife out to him, speaking loudly, to let the prisoner hear. "I want you to murder this Prisoner in the worst way you possibly can."
He took the knife with his good arm, grinning as he walked forward, the Kusari man trembling in despair and fright, speaking. "No! Please, no! Spare me!" With that, Kell stepped forward, grabbing his head with his free arm, wincing in pain a bit as he stabbed his dagger into the man's shoulder, to prevent use of his arm, and then his other shoulder, preventing use of both arms, laughing as he did so.
He then kept a hold on the mans head as he cut down his shirt, opening it as he traced the knife, not cutting, along his chest. "Oooh, you look like a tough one.. I hope you last a while, puppy.. I'm gonna have some fun." With that, he began to cut lines along the man's chest, causing him to scream in utter agony. The Phantom woman leaned against the door way, smiling in approval.
As Kell continued to cut into the man's chest, it seems he was making something out of his skin, like little pieces of a puzzle, cutting them out and then tossing them to the ground. He was finished in a short while, and when he was done, the red flowed from his chest, the Kusari's man hoarse as he spoke, in complete agony. "P-please.. k-kill me.."
Kell shook his head, giggling madly. "Oh no.. not yet.. not yet.. I want to have some more fun.." He held onto the man's hair, placing the knife at his forehead as he slowly cut down, the skin beginning to flay away, screaming in agony as the blood poured, and slowly, but surely the Kusari man's face was cut into simply skin, the redness showing from the blood as the man simply collapsed from utter agony.
Kell did something even more sadistic.. He put the skin on his face, although it didn't fit too well, he wore it on his face, like a mask and spoke, with a sadistic and mad giggling. "Oh look at me! I've got a new mask for whenever I go into Kusari! Do you think they'll accept me as a Kusari man?!" The Phantom woman laughed along with him, taking the dagger from Kell as she slammed it into the Kusari's neck, cutting it open from side to side, and then from up to down, giggling lightly as she ripped his head off.
She kept it for herself as she spoke, a smile on her face. "You're an interesting Bretonian.. whats your name?" He smiled back, crossing his arms. "Kell's my name, dearie. Whats yours?" She lightly giggled as she walked out, ignoring him, before speaking in a commanding tone. "Come, Kell."
They reached the 'bridge' of the Fighter, as she sat down, putting the head on a nearby pedestal, speaking as she looked out, plotting a course somewhere. "You're an interesting man, Kell.. You.. puzzle and interest me.. What do you know of the Phantoms?" He thought for a moment before speaking. "A bit.. I know that you take.. a certain glee in killing people.. kind of like me.."
She nodded lightly. "Mm, yes indeed.. And that.. is exactly why I'm going to bring you in and teach you the ways.. I'm going to introduce you to Enlightenment! You are going to become one of us! Would you like that, Kell?" He tilted his head, thinking for a moment before a wide grin came across his face. "I would.. Oh yes I would.." He suddenly slammed the dagger into the Kusari man's eye-socket, causing a small bit of blood to come out and onto his hand, taking it and licking it from his hand.
"I'd like that a lot."
Unfortunately for the Sirius Sector... This was just the beginning of the man that they would come to know as Puzzle.
