However, sieging a base is now a situation where this might become relevant.

Do you use heavy bombers ? I ran into the cooldown-time problem constantly on my Nanda D.

So, anyone? They disappeared on all of my ships, seems it happened after my Whale got some damage of radiation. I docked, repaired, undocked and whoops - no digits...

I don't think they use the numbers anymore on fast refire CMs. There's no point to it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats a cooldown before you fire a weapon. But theres a problem; it resets itself if you fire it without enough energy (even if its 0) making it a problem for bombers trying to aim without looking at energy bar.

These cooldown delays are displayed when a weapon has a refire rate longer then a second. Weapons with shorter refires do not show the countdown. With that said, this grave needs a tombstone.
