Hola hermanos,

you might remember my family name, but not myself much. That is because I tried to leave Malta when I just reached adulthood. However, the natural cardamine addiction always pulled me back to my birthplace, and let me see my true origin.

Eventhough I didn't wanted to live on Malta anymore, I was always loyal to the Nación Maltesa.

Anyhow, that all has little to do with my request. Years ago when "The Narcotic", I left Malta with, was just an ordinary Sabre - it today is an individualized vessel I originally have it built by some zoner prototype gunboat construction plans. Though, one can hardly call it a gunboat anymore, since I upgraded it a several time. Its main purpose was to survive the dangerous Omicrons while having a mobile exploration and research facility together.

Now you can imagine what space does to a vessel after a year being actively flown through asteroid fields, nebulas, radiation and so on. Long story short:

I need new ship parts for major repairs and a few upgrades. Preferably outcast-made. Why so? Because I was always faithful to our ships. And no matter the general hostility towards our kind, I was always wanting to show what 'flags' my ships are flying under.

All I need is full access to Valetta Shipyard and some of its materials being used for new ship constructions. You might now think; "Why is an Outcast asking an Outcast to fly with Outcast ship parts?" The answer is that I'm actually 'just' a maltese ex-citizen, and no official pilot anymore. However, I think it is clear that I'm only going to use these materials for the Outcast Nation's good, and not against it.

Apologies for the late response. Your name...I have heard of it, signore. That's as far as my knowledge stretches however. Perhaps some of the Lance may know more or the 101st could enlighten me but matters not, for now.

I see no reason to prohibit access though I am curious as to why you're an ex-citizen. Though you say you simply didn't want to live there...oh well, not really an issue to me. As i'm first to respond to this transmission, any consequences are on my shoulders so worry not, amigo.

Is there any sort of time you were thinking of visiting Valetta for your repairs? Perhaps we can speak on a more personal front. This is not essential, I see no reason to distrust a believer in the nation unless I am told otherwise.

As for your question señor Orsini - my decision to leave behind my past on Malta back then was influenced by multiple events, among other things the tragically tribute my parents paid to the bloody war with the Corsairs. There weren't many reasons for me to stay on Malta, spending my sunset years there - alone.

Looking back now what I've experienced since the time I took my first step off Malta, I know that I needed this. Malta was fine, I was always a proud maltese, but I just wanted more than the life it did offer me.

However, except for the fact that most of the time I'm being away on exploration and freelancing - I'm never forgetting my true origin and always return to "the system with the green sun and the orange plantations". And I've always sworn to myself, that in case the nation needs me urgently, that I'll do my best possible to help - no matter where I am and what the matter is.

Señor Perez, it's a honor that you reply my message yourself. It makes me a proud Outcast to be remembered like that. I'm at least one month a year on Malta, so maybe one day if you can find some time, we can have a chat. And gracias for granting the permit of course. I'll assure you, that I'll use this privilege wisely and that my The Narcotic will always be maltese in its heart - like myself.

I just wanted to give you a heads-up about the upgrade's progress. I've finally decided on the new layout and enhancements, and the construction will likely start by now. I'd also like to thank you again, for your generous offer of supplying me the needed parts. If there's anything I could do for you in return, don't hesitate to ask. This also counts for the future.

Besides, I wanted to inform you, that I'm having to leave Malta for a few days, for personal reasons. I hope I'll be back at the end of next week. Meanwhile the Narcotic's upgrade will continue, so it'll probably finished once I've returned. I've assigned the ship's AI "Shodan" to monitor the process. So if there's any trouble, contact her.
