Ralf Warren: Good night, ladies and gents! I am Ralf Warren, directly from our studios in downtown Las Palmas, Planet Gran Canaria, with some breaking news! Just earlier today, a big Rote Hessen Armee group attacked Aland Shipyards and stoled three of the new IMG Battletransport prototypes!
In a bold move by the Hessians, they borded the station using a small freighter, made their way to the ships and stoled the three brand new Shishapangma transports that had just finished building at the Guild facility in the Omega 3 system.
I was in the Cambridge system in our Quick.Response.Unit when we received a faint distress call and shortly after that a trader passed by saying a huge fight was taking place near Aland. My crew and I promptly decided to have a look on what was ongoing.
By the time we got there, a huge battle was taking place between the Hessian forces, composed by a battleship, a few escorts and the stolen transports and a IMG wing that was dispached from Freistad when the distress signal from Aland was received.
After a fierce battle, where both sides suffered losses, the Hessians used the desperate measure of making a jump even with their navigational computers knocked down! I must admit that is a very courageous move. Who knows where they ended up? They could emerge into normal space too close to a star, or maybe into deep unexplored space, or even in the other side of Sirius!
Anyway, IMG personel declared on site that the company would need to have a meeting before making an official declaration. We expect it to be released later today.
Before leaving I still talked a little more to one IMG pilot called... Err.. One moment folks... What? Oh, IMG just released an official declaration with images of the start of the attack, with the boarding of the station and subsequent robbery of the transports... We are going to link you to that feed now... Oh, there you go!
Wow! That was exciting, ahn?! Well, we expect to receive more information in the following hours as the investigation on this incident unfolds... How were the Hessians aware of the new transports? Have they a spy onboard? Was it an inside job? Many questions are being raised, but for now too few are being answered.
That's all we have for now, friends. From downtown Las Palmas in the beautiful Gran Canaria, this is Ralf Warren saying goodbye for now!
