It has been a long time since the Maquis and the Brigands have crossed paths. Your various groups have always been a thorn in the side for those haughty Royals who think they may rule over us all. Perhaps it is time we give them something to think about again, non?
We are La Fraternité du Serment du Jeu de Paume, or merely La Fraternité if you prefer to refer to us by a shorter name. We seek to create the freedom in Gallia which you so treasure aboard your strongholds. What we propose is simple: Greater cooperation between our organizations to loot and plunder the shipping of Gallic corporations and anyone support the Royalists. We would also look forward to assisting your smuggling operations so as to acquire more funding for both of our endeavours.
We look forward to our continued assailing of the so-called lawful authorities who seek to oppress the both of us for their own enjoyment.
Bonjour Monsieur Roux. I'm glad to see the Maquis have woken up. I am Chantal Proulx, Patron of Les Salopards. If you've ever visited Narbonne, you would have heard of us. We have taken a back seat to Gallic politics in the resent years, but with my return to the frontline it's time for another assault. I believe it's time that we show the Royals who really run Gallia.
Though I cannot speak for all Brigands, you are more than welcome on Narbonne Base. Your pilots can treat it like a second home, and it will help coordinate both of our groups together. Let the chaos begin.
*The viewscreen flickers to life, showing a sturdy dark-haired man with a short haircut, an eyepatch covering his left eye. He appears to be standing on the bridge of an Asco gunboat.*
Bonjour, Monsieur.
The Maquis are always good news. One of les Damnés told me that he had met you in Champagne. Paul Fraisse, the guy on l'Indomptable, if you remember. He told you had helped him to deliver some goods. So, the way I see it, our partnership is already a thing. Et oui, as a nice bonus, we get rid of the Royalists who get in our way. So count les Damnés in.
I'd invite you to our club at Boulogne base, but it isn't in its best shape right now. I'm pretty sure other Brigands wouldn't mind having more Maquis around either. Guess we'll be seeing a lot more of each other in Gallia in the coming days.
It fills my heart with such saccharine joy to find that there is yet common ground among our groups. Rest assured, you may both expect our own group within the Maquis to be interacting with Les Salopards and Les Damnes within due time.
Madame Proulx,
We would be honored to be given shelter and accommodation on Narbonne Base just as you offered. Though we may entrust our comrades on Limoux Base, Languedoc is still a big system to traverse. Perhaps we should meet in person at some point to become better acquainted with both each other and our two factions, non? I see both of us as standing to gain a massive amount of power in fighting the Royalist government over the next few months. Perhaps we may be able to orchestrate even grander plans with a proper working relationship. Should you need any assistance in smuggling, piracy, or escort operations, please let us know. Our assistance against the Royalists, of course, goes without saying.
Monsieur of Les Damnes,
Though I do not yet know your name, I am still equally as pleased to know such hospitality is being offered by your crew as well. Monsieur Fraisse was a very pleasant and polite companion on those quiet journeys through the various hives of Royalist activity, et he paid handsomely for a task which I merely presumed to be a courtesy for a valuable friend. I extend the same invitation that I have made to Madame Proulx et Les Salopards to you and your organization. Let us both work industriously to expand our current working relationship into something stronger and more formidable than it already is, oui?
