This commission has been long overdue, and as we further establish ourselves in the independent worlds, it's necessary to secure an edge on every possible front technologically over potential threats and local elements.
With this in mind, Z-Sec is opening a closed file to selected individuals. Those individuals will be assigned as project leads and be responsible for handling the development of a new propulsion system for light craft. The project is aptly named after a bird of ill omen, as the template vessel is rather unique. An R-1 P Series "Lich" entered our possession following the extraction of Reaper elements from the Omegas region, as negotiated by Keeper Leviathan. The Inner Phalanx has decided to re-purpose the vessel as a test bed for the development of creating an efficient version of the AXI-A-577 Modified Ioonstream-MKII propulsion system suitable for use on fighter-sized frames.
The hope is for the engine to eventually enter mass production.

PROJECT: “LIGHTRIDER” PROPULSION SYSTEM - AXI-A-577 MODIFIED IONSTREAM-MK2 PROTOTYPE
SHOWING DATA. . .
The main process of the project occurs within Sector E-B. Displaying information.
Spare Power Cells are being contained within the Vault as a backup measure.
-Tests reveal that the emission rate is optimized by 245%
-The Cell Chamber is charged up through a focused beam, and an injector infuses the cell with nanoids - manipulating the energy patterns.
-Energy production is up by 350% - enough to power the entirety of the vessel.
-During the initial test runs, there were two incidents that involved energy failures - these were overcome by applying an enhanced energy suppression field, overcharging it, and adding an additional two layers around the core.
Additional reference material can be made available upon request to the Inner Phalanx, or to Zeta Section directly.
