There is only one solution to that naming dispute - COMMUNISM. Seize station's means of production and distribute equally among the citizens. Rename station into Kirov

And I shall make upon thee the promise that both its name AND its ownership shall change !
That way, we're all making empty self-serious promises ! What a productive day we're having !
Gardarik speaks the truth. Collectivise the station. Collectivise Corsica, the UC, Malta, Gallia, Sirius... COMPLETE COMMUNISM EVERYWHERE.
There's my promise to you, captain "Hurr durr first degree hands off muh station whinewhinewhine" Sciamach !
Actually screw it. Return the station to Gallia. Rename it SUPERDUPONT STATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

If you're done with your childish tirade:
The station is deep in outcast territory, and well ingrained into Outcast lore and their status in Sirius.
Balance-wise given it's location, it makes 0-sense for it to be assigned to another faction. If we were talking about a border-system then things might be different, but since it's not: I can promise you that development-wise, it's not going to be going anywhere.
EDIT-
Also; because you seem to be obsessed with the spy:
[ sci·am·ach ]
/sīˈamək/
A simple, angry man casually working his way through life on a personal quest to acquire copious amounts of street cred.

Well, if my last post wasn't enough to display how much of a joke my initial message was, then I don't know what will. So, to reach the deep bottom of the first degree ; I could hardly care less about this station. Your defensive and self-serious replies, despite my continued attempts at making light-hearted fun of the situation, amused me greatly. And that's it, really.

Chill dude, Lana is obviously being obtuse for a joke, one that went right over your head
First: We Maltese do not want to be part of UC and do not like anything about "COMMUNISM".
Second: I asked why they are name that way; I never said I had a problem with that name.
Third: Exodite Asmodai is right about Spain + Italy, but South America? Where is that? Alpha is R. of Malta + Spanish Isles, Beta is Spain, Phi is Frensh Mediteran and Tau is Italy (ok, Soledad is spanish for lonely). I do not see where we Maltese are representing South America.
I always thought that the Zoner are simliar to South America but this is not really fitting either (Gran Canaria (Spain), Corinth (Greek), Livadia (Greek)....).
The Corsairs are not partly South America either: They are just Greek (including Cyprus), Berbers, Spanish and Italian; but only less Italian. Italian is more a Maltesian thing.
Is there anywhere in Sirius something reffering to South America
