status: in progress type: prototype; possible subsequent production
location: Invergordon Salvage Yards, Inverness system lead: Commander Freud, Roland
Summary
I. Introduction
Following the operation to seize Liberty's transport, Commander Freud noted that space combat was not the only battlefield he would likely have to operate on. Therefore, he considered it necessary to start a personal project to create a universal exoskeleton armor that would allow him to fight in any possible conditions.
If the prototype is successful, it will be possible to begin mass production of a model suitable for widespread use. Such equipment will simplify the further capture of enemy ships, stations and, possibly, even planets, reducing the risk to the lives of soldiers.
II. Evaluation
Having examined the existing solutions among the available data, Freud came to the conclusion that they did not suit him. Consequently, he will have to create a prototype design almost from scratch.
Thus, given the abilities of the project executor, the only difficulties lie in the labor intensity of the task and obtaining the necessary resources.

Project Update I
"As I suspected, scrap metal on Invergordon would hardly be suitable for creating such equipment. I could, of course, order materials from third parties or even our own people, but I would like to maintain maximum control over this project. And this means I will have to go for “groceries” on my own."
"First stop was Dublin. I have an understanding with the locals. I even helped them defend their system on the Technocrat ship. However, this part of Sirius has been extremely turbulent lately, so I had to keep my eyes open. Luckily, I didn't need transport or even a freighter for this excursion. The cargo compartment of my Defender is quite enough."
"So I was quite capable of fighting back against the royal ass-kissing army and the overly aggressive Corsairs. But I didn't have to. The little "Defender" slipped by unnoticed."
"The cargo compartment was filled to the brim with shining gold. The next stop will be in much less troubled places, but no less dangerous."
