It is not unreasonable to expect that people might have to invest a bit of time and effort into something if they wish to be better at it than other people are. If I can be passable in cruiser pvp despite having nerve damage in my wrists that leaves my hands constantly shaking and in pain, the rest of the community (which presumably consists primarily of players more able-bodied than me) ought to be able to spend a single hour in conn once to gain a basic understanding of how the class works.
If you want to use your cruiser as an RP platform and don't care to learn how to beat other players with it, that's fine, but PVP will happen eventually, and it is something which is fundamentally competitive in nature, so if this is the route you wish to go, you will have to accept the consequences of your actions (ie, losing every time).
This is not a dismissive "just git gud", and if you're seriously willfully ignorant enough to insist that it is, I do not know what to tell you.

Answer me this, if you change cruisers to be even easier to play with a complete lack of power management, how will this not just make them absurdly overpowered in the hands of someone who actually knows what they're doing and can pump out infinite DPS while being harder to kill since they don't need to use their shield toggle key? Plenty of people on this very forum would vocalise a complaint about how unbalanced the game is, no doubt.
By all means look down on us elitist idiots, but the change was introduced for a reason and it's because playtest revealed basically exactly this issue. On that note, git gud.
