"Gab, come on! We've got to hurry. Dont want to be late on your first patrol do we?" ~John shouted to Gabriella as they ran across the hall of Kyoto.
"Ungh! Yeah yeah, im coming im coming! ~Gabrielle replied
They ran across the hall, towards the briefing room. Gabriella wanted everything but to go to that briefing room. For she know who would be the one to brief them..
"There, we made it. Come on Gab, lets head in"~ John said.
"Do we have to John? I mean, its been 5 years." ~Gabriella replied
"Look, you cant stay mad at him for ever. He was abit hars on you when you were a kid, i admit. But your 22 years old now. Times change, and he -is- your father. ~ John said.
"Alright alright! Just... Oh fine."
They stepped in the room. There were six others sitting there, two women and four guys. They sat down on the two chairs next to the group, and immediately, he entered.
The oldest of the four stood up.
"Officer on deck!"~ He shouted.
"Good morning brothers, and sisters. And.. Right, at ease. And lets begin this briefing" ~ Joshua Dejesus said.
They all sat down, and Joshua began to talk
"As you already know, this will be a basic patrol. The first for some of you. And for those who've had their share of combat, make these greenhorns feel at home, alright? Your wing shall be going to the western part of Honshu. From there back to Chugoku, Sigma 13, and then back home. The routine ZOI chek."~Gabriel said.
"Now, get prept. And good luck." ~ Gabriel said.
John and Gabriella walked towards their fighters. Two state of the art Blood Dragons HF's.
"Now, that wasnt so bad? Was it now? Id say you go talk to him after were done here." ~John said.
"Sigh..Yes, i think ill have to wont i? Right, lets get out there."~ Gabriella replied.
Space outside Kyoto base
"Right, so were all here now? One, two, three, four...... Check. Alright, keep your eyes open, and fly straight. Lets head out."~ John told his squad.
"Were coming up on the jump hole"~ John said. "Ill go first, Gab, you bring up the rear"
He jumped trough into Honshu. Followed by his 6 men and Gabriella in the end.
"Hol...Sh...t!"
WHAM
"Break formation! BREAK FORMATION! Break and attack!" ~ John shouted.
There were near a dozen Kusari Naval Forces coming in from all directions. The Dragon figthers broke formation and engaged the targets.
"I...Can.....N..Good!"
The second Dragon got destroyed.
"Bastards! Gab, you still have those Firestalkers with you? We could use the homing!" ~ John shouted.
"Yes sir! Launching missiles." ~ Gabriella responded.
She shot down a hostile Dragon, obliterating his escape pod in the process.
"Yes! Just like your old man!" ~ John said "Blow them to.....Aaaaaa.......rrr.gh!"
John got shot down. He didnt think he'd need an escape pod for this patrol. He was dead
"NOO! JOHN! You'll pay for that bastard! Eat this! " ~ Gabriella shouted.
She started rampaging across the Naval Forces. Killing those foolish enough not to pay attention. But it was not enough. The Naval forces pinned the Dragons down one by one. Untill only Gabriella remained.
"You want this! WELL, DO YOU WANT THIS?! COME AND GET IT! "~ She shouted
Wooosh
"Jump complete, all guns, open fire! Purge those heretics!" ~Gabriel shouted.
It was the Kana Keiko. Gabriel had alerted Commander Willis, he wanted to make sure his daughter was alright. And one by one, the Naval forces died. Exploding with the most beautiful light Gabriella had ever seen. And after 8 of them had died, they retreated.
"Good thing i had you followed, right dear?"~Gabriel said.
"I..They..John..."~ She muttered
"Take it easy, land your Dragon. Our docking bays are open." Willis said.
She landed her Dragon, and there she saw her father. She ran onto him and grabbed him tight
"They were...And, Katsi, Zutokomo, And..John! All gone!" ~ She said while crying.
"Ssssh. Its ok now. Your safe. Here, lets get you something to drink"~ Gabriel replied calmyl.
Willis' quarters
"Here, this should make you feel better. Now, once you're done with that. Head for the bar. Sit there, and think, think about what you've seen, done, felt. Once your done, come to me. We have a great deal to discuss. Daughter. " ~Gabriel calmly said.
He walked out of the room, and left Gabriella alone. There, she cried. Tears coming from a never ending sea.
Reiko had just docked on Kyoto. She was tired because of the recent fights she had against the Kusari Naval Forces so she headed towards the bar, probably to get a drink and relax. As she entered the bar, Reiko noticed a beautiful young woman sitting at a table all by herself. She could read a certain sadness and concern in her eyes. For a few moments, Reiko just stood there, watching the young lady. Suddenly, someone interrupts her:
"Reiko! Can I get you something to drink?" asked Masakazu, the bartender.
"Umm, wha-...Oh, hey Masakazu. Thanks, but I'll pass." she replied.
"Okay then! I'll see you around!"
Reiko turned her view towards the pretty woman again. She was still there. Still sad and concerned. She approached calmly, looked at her again and asked:
"What is wrong, my dear? Has it got anything to do with men? The Naval Forces? Why are you so sad?"
The young lady lifted her view to Reiko, but only for a few seconds before staring back into nowhere. She didn't say
a single word.
"My name is Reiko. Please, please tell me what concerns you." said Reiko as she took a seat next to her.
"I'm...I'm Gabriella."
"Okay Gabriella. It is nice to meet you. Still, this does not explain your current attitude. What wrong has been done to make you feel like this? You can tell me. I will help you."
...."You know the feeling when it looks like your entire world has collapsed around you. That your alone and naked in the dark. Like a ghost without a goal. Just like John is now.." ~ Gabriella replied.
"They came from no where, and, so many. Everywhere. It was just...*snif*"
"Sssshh. Its allright. Take it easy. Who was it that did this?"~Reiko replied.
"Those corrupted Bastards! They, they..Took it all away from me. I mean to repay that debt. Im..Im going to sign up for that blockade! Nothing will delay my vengeance. Blood for blood!" ~ Gabriella replied with a firm voice. "But... I dont know if.."
Gabriella bursted out in tears, flowing over her cheek as a waterfall of pain.
"I cant! What if it happens again! I can't take the pain!"~Gabriella said with tears in her eyes.
This one was clearly new to the Dragons, Reiko thought to herself. One who wont make it on her own..
"Would you like me to come with you? Keep the demons at bay. We can watch eachothers backs. That way, nothing will delay your revenge, my dear."~Reiko replied.
Gabriella looked at Reiko, and somehow, she looked familliar. Maybe a childhood friend or just a face she had seen somewhere, but what she did know was that this woman made her feel allright. How, she didnt know.
"I...I would like that, yes." ~ She said.
"Well then, what are we waiting for?" ~ Reiko replied. "Lets go this instant."
And so, they walked out of the bar, down the hall to find the CO of tonights opperation.
..."Gaby, your with me." ~Asai said
"Right, dont worry Dear. Im here. Follow what the sensei says and lets get going"~ Reiko said to Gabriella
Gabriella had signed herself up for the blockade. But she did not go alone, however. She was accompanied by her new-found friend, Reiko Abe was with her. She acted as an instructor as well as a moral support.
They flew for sevral minuts. Nothing on scanners. Nothing on visual. It was way too quiet.
"Asai, this is Bishamon. Requesting assistance at the Honshu jumpgate. Come in!"~Bishamon shouted over the comm channel.
"Bishamon, Asai here. Im on my way." "Gabriella, resume our patrol. I wont be long."~ Asai said as he cruised away.
"Relax Gaby dear. We can handle it. Just follow the waypoint and keep her steady" Reiko said with a calmvoice.
They flew for sevral moments, untill they saw a samura convoy passing by. One armoured transport, and 2 defending hawks.
"Aaah! Here we go Gaby dear. Do you think you can handle this by yourself?"~ Reiko said.
"I...I think i can. I know i must.. Allright, lets do this."~ She replied.
Gabriella engaged the armoured transport first. Getting instructions on what to do from Reiko.
"Now press that, it will arm the cannonball. Thats it. Now, wait for my signal. Steady....Steady...FIRE!"
WHAM
The cannonball had tore a hole right trough the armoured transport. Destroying all in its path.
"Well done Gaby! You see? Were not so bad together! Now, ill finish these figthers off for you. Then, we should head back to Kyoto, i think the fleet is allready there." ~ Reiko said.
Like a hardend veteran, Reiko finished off the two remaining figthers. Gabriella couldnt understand how Reiko could kill so easily. But then again, it -was- their profession. Destroying the corrupt Kusari govnerment and those that held their power, Samura.
"Wooh! That was a nice fight. Minor hull damage, and the forward daito is messed up. But we made it. Ill get us back to Kyoto." ~Reiko said to Gabriella.
"Yes..Please. I dont like it much here."~ Gabriella replied.
They took the jump hole into Kyoto, where they were welcomed back after a sucsesfull mission.
