Oh yeah it would be imperfect, but it would still be interesting. The star spheres would have to provide most of the clue though. The jump holes provide additional clue, they must be neighboring systems with nothing else in between, but that is not enough. Maybe some of the fiction fills in some of the gaps too.
I'm not going to do it, but it would be interesting to look at.

At the very least, we know a lot of distances, yeah? Because jump gates have a max range, of which I can't recall offhand. Anyone happen to remember that?
