Iif you've joined MI6 you're playing a spy, you know this because MI6 doesn't do much else. Playing a spy isn't easy, it's grossly unfair bordering on powergaming if not done right. It's very easy to do things that the faction you're subverting can't see or do anything about. You have to mitigate this by giving them a chance. You have duties, you have goals and ultimately the character is going to die, but not before getting Bretonia information it needs.
Primary Responsibilties
Fair play. Your character is the enemy of those your flying with, you are not. Keep your actions fair. Give the faction chance to respond to your actions, the faction leader knows what you are so take the time to consult with them about what MI6 wants you to do
Fly. You're not just a token member of that faction, in order to get anything done you have to appear to be a fully paid up member, which means logging time in space. Per the rules you are a member. So act like it
Report. Semi regular reports in the BIS message dump are required to keep BIS apprised of your work. We need to know how close they are to figuring out what you're doing, we need to know that you're doing stuff.
Expect to die. Chances are you will be caught and executed for treason. Factions don't like to be played for fools and BIS respects that.
.
Secondary Items
Following RP. You're a deep cover agent, which means you follow the RP of the faction you're infiltrating, in so much as you will do exactly what they ask of, except where it contradicts a direct order from M.
Shooting right. If, whilst flying your spy, you are ordered to shoot an ally of the Crown, you shoot them. You shoot BAF, BIS, BPA and anyone else the person giving you orders tells you to.
Going native. The spy is your own, if during the course of your spying the character finds things that would make him become a double agent or simply defect, then do so. Don't feel tied to the BIS.
The role of a MI6 agent is primarily an RP role, there's plenty of forum RP to be done, so if you dislike forum RP don't sign up. Simple as. Within these simple guidelines you're free to do whatever you think appropriate to get the job done. Whether that job is getting us war information, or simply noting the day to day activities of a pirate group, it's all important in RP.
The BIS doesn't need folks who don't want to RP signing up for MI6, this is an advanced role and very difficult to play well. Don't be over estimating your abilities. Take this on only if you know you can.
At any point I reserve the right to rat you out. This will be done simply by telling the faction you're infiltrating to get shot of you and likely to shoot you.
