Well to start I forgot how to spell commodities, if I spelled it wrong.
Well on to the point, I believe that items such as scrap metal, gases, food, and items of the like should be more involved as into Role-Play. Now my idea was that in order to purchase lets say a battleship, you would first need to have x amount of H-fuel, x amount of scrap metals, x amount of crew members, and x amount of side arms. Then you would have to PM an admin for him to take the items off that were meant for the creation of this ship, and the next time you log on you would have what you requested. Now this would also or hopefully end the independent cap ship production in Sirius, mainly in New York.
Though this may not be the best idea, I'm just overall saying that trade items should have more involvement in disco, and preferably in ship production, if you ask me.

I don't think commodities should become part of the rules. If someone is willing to sacrifice credits and cargo space to make their roleplaying seem more realistic, good on them. I do it on my traders, and my racing freelancer will have his arrow stocked with racing supplies.
I already tried to propose that cardamine is placed back on Buffalo Base as 100 credits less than the buying price on Manhattan, for people who want to RP being drug addicts so that they don't have to go all the way to Malta, Ainu Depot or Cape Wrath to get Cardamine.
I also tried to suggest that spaceship crew is added to every single Freeport as a buyable commodity. Surely lots of people would congregate on the Freeports looking for work as part of ship crews? Either way, it makes it easier for unlawfuls to get hold of the spaceship crew commodity without having to go to either Malta or Crete.
