these movies are a complete travesty. The original book by heinlein - and yes, he did get a bit freaky with family love towards the end - was a gem. Realistic characters that develop? check. interesting denouement? check. Awesome original plotline that made your real life seem dull and uninteresting for a while afterwards? check.
I was really looking forwards to these movies. I couldn't believe the effluent they published. Talk about embarrassing. It could have been a movie to challenge Star wars... but instead, it gets trounced by spaceballs.
