As we are continuing our spring cleaning which involves a large amounts of votes regarding the structure of our forum and a few other things, we bring you another update.
While we know that keeping the pages up to date are a major concern for some, we are also not too amused by the idea that many factions have started misusing the thread by adding new laws that exceed the inherent limitations of their faction ID and diplomacy. Furthermore, we will be reviewing the latest edits made by said groups and dealing with them accordingly. While this makes the process of amending laws much slower, it is the result of factions trying to exceed the current lines of their IDs without the need to apply for such changes via the perk system.
Good day.

Yet again everyone, including those which never did anything wrong, is punished for acts of a few. And this time, you are punishing even yourself with adding more work to yourself (not to mention how much complains you will hear when updating laws will take too long) as well as for those who prepare the updates because now they have to write down complete changelog for the admins instead of directly updating the law post.
Not to mention that you don´t even said what the issue is about. Did you talk to the culprits and explain them what they did wrong? So they (and everyone else) could learn from it. Maybe there was not even bad intention, mistakes happen, but people have to be informed about it. This way we have yet another restriction from admin´s workshop but no one have any idea why.

Simply bad call.
Did you have the intention to change Rheinland's laws lately?

We are voting about one quite important change right now and more proposals will follow very soon. However how is that connected to what I wrote, it is valid even if we would not plan any changes right now.
Do you consider it really a problem to wait maybe a few days before the law set edit is approved? Given how easily that could be abused, either by editing or deleting law sets, saying they will be renewed "soon" with month after month passing, I consider this the better option, to be fair.

It needs admin vote, so I doubt it will be done within few days. Even sindroms himself said "while this makes the process of amending lawsmuch slower". Considering how long things sometimes take even when they are labelled with soon, I am very worried what timeframe of "much slower" will mean. Not to mention that currently things are processed quite quick because sindroms sold his soul to Disco, but this system will stay even if he won´t be able to continue for some reason and we all remember that some things took months before (in rare cases there is still unfinished stuff which was submitted more than year ago). And I doubt that laws update will have high priority on admins´ to-do list.

F1 is abused ingame on daily basis, yet was never removed or made entirely against rules even when no one is around. Shooting without roleplay is reported regularly, yet weapons were not removed from the game or you don´t need admin approval for shooting someone. Lot of things in the game can be abused very easily, yet we don´t restrict them for the sake of those who don´t abuse and use them the way they were designed. Someone abused stuff? Go and punish him. But why make things more difficult to admins and those who did nothing wrong. If anything, make mandatory by rules that there must be mandatory law update changelog so everybody can see what, when and how was changed.
Don't know why the majority is punished for the actions of a few again. I'd rather like to see that those threads in question are automatically monitored and changes highlighted to the staff, so they can quickly figure out what was changed and see if it needs to be taken care of. And I've no idea if the forum software used is able to perform that.
But hey, idea just came to my mind - why don´t lock just laws of those who misused them by assigning their law posts to admin account and thus they will need to make changes through player requests? Those who did nothing wrong can continue unhindered and adminteam will have less work to process. Isn´t this best solution for everyone?
