Greetings comrades.. It's been a hard day my friends, and I bear news, good and bad.

First of all, the.. 'Good' news.. Today, Bretonia and Rheinland began open hostilities against each other!

A war has begun that will draw allot of attention away from us, how ever.

Not all was good, as I and a comrade where situated in Omega 3 to support the Freeport, we where assaulted by several Rheinland ships.. Who in their ignorance shot up the Freeport, I expect heavy casualties after the several Mortar shots that hit the station.

Here is the photo's I managed to take before I was shot down.

A Rheinland battleship appeared on scanners just as I closed in on FP 1, how ever it was heading towards the fight in the Ice Clouds.

All manner of ships where located around the Freeport, including one CPW-Tsiolkovsky and it's captain.
We followed the Freeports administrator, a certain "Dane" and explained we where there to defend the station.
It was very pleasant and nice, until 2 Cruisers appeared on scanners and began to act aggressively against me and my comrade..

Along with his friends..

Before we could react except to explain we where there to protect the freeport, the three Rheinland Battleships opened fire and some of the shots hit the Freeport.

I quickly tried to go away for them to follow as the the CPW-Tsiolkovsky, but some kept firying.. Soon enough the Tsiolkovsky was badly damaged and soon after so was I.. I managed to escape in a escape pod..

The rest of you, standard combat procedures will be enacted when facing down two enemy forces fighting each other. I trust you all know what those procedures are, and if not, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU IN THE FIGHTER CORPS?

Attention all SCRA assets: As you know, the conflict between Bretonia and Rheinland has escalated to ludicrous levels. The monarchists and the fascists have finally declared war and the only thing I feel is glee.

As we speak, our diplomats are contacting various parties in order to unify the Omega-3 system into an independent entity. Your orders, members of the Fighter Corps, are to act only in defense of Freeport 1 and the surrounding space. We are not to act on behalf of either of the houses. Any house military vessel within Omega-3 are to be told that they are illegally entering independent space and are to be escorted back to their respective home or terminated right on the spot.

Follow these orders to the dot.

This is the good Commissar General again with an update. The operations against the Rheinlanders and the Bretonians is progressing in a very advantageous manner.

Under orders from High Command and the Politiburo, Captain Ivan Rasputin has been put in a position of command concerning the impending operation "Siberian Summer". Those strategically involved in this operation will be notified in private and he will personally convey the tactical aspect of this operation to you shortly.

It has come to our attention that one pilot of the Fighter Corps has gone above and beyond the call of duty for the Revolution. But there is a problem. He's a Lieutenant, you see. So in order to correct this problem, we're going to strip away his rank. And then we're going to promote him to Senior Lieutenant. Congratulations, Senior Lieutenant Jacob Forge. Live up to the expectations placed on you by the Coalition.

Greetings, Fighter Corps, and all relevant authorities! I am proud to inform you all the the Tsiolkovsky, the Coalition's newest vessel, has been a rousing success! After a few visits to Omicron Major to study the entrance to the Dyson Sphere located there, we proceeded to the Freeport to offer our assistance, which was met with great support. We even utilized our torpedo launchers in the destruction of an Outcast vessel. We also collected 18 samples of Nomad tissue for doctor XiaoBei. The images are attached.

And I approach you today to tell all of you the tactics we will utilize in Operation: Siberian Summer.

There will be three Tactical Group leaders, each in command of his or hers mission objective, it can be a system or simply a target. The information regarding what that objective is. Is to be known only by High Command and the Tactical group leader. But of course you will find out when you have been selected for that Tactical group..

The groups pilots will change, this is so that all pilots of the Red dawn can split up and be more effective, learning all there is to know of enemy fleet movements and so on. This means that even if you are in one tactical group one day, you will perhaps not be in the same the day after.

[color=#9FB6CD]There is how ever a very important part of the entire tactic, and that is to use smaller vessels in the assaults, that means Fighters and bombers, as we are facing many fleets and they all have capital support. This of course means in retrospect that we, the Coalition, need to adapt to this situation. Hit & run tactics are to be used against the enemy lines.

We attack each capital ship with abusive force, 3-6 bombers in each wave and strike hard and fast, as we are covered by fighters keeping the escorts of our enemies of our backs long enough to blow their capital ships up. Then fall back and repeat the process..

We are facing a number of foes that is difficult to predict.. How ever, the Commissariat recommends that the Bretonia/Liberty side of the conflict carries with it to much danger for strategic value to be valid in our assaults, so they will take a backseat towards the Rheinland fleet.

Omega 7 and Stuttgart will be the areas where we will be concentrating our strikes.

Now, to finish, the exact tactical plan will not be seen by anyone but the Group leaders, all you have to do is follow orders.

The CPW Aurora have been placed under my command and will be used as a C&C for mobile support out in the field, it's a 'Typhoon class Destroyer' with reinforced armor plating and with Anti-Fighter weaponry installed.

Be it so noted,

Major Otto Wolfe has been assigned to command the CPW-Tsiolkovsky. After an ill-fated voyage into New Berlin, the Tsiolkovsky has been completely refitted, and has proved itself a valuable warship, as well as a Research Vessel.

I am also pleased to award the Shield of the Hammer to Captain Jacob Forge. He braved the Rheinland Military in New Berlin, disrupting them, and allowing the Tsiolkovsky to escape. Today, he used his Storm Gunboat to distract the enemy vessels, freeing up resources that then allowed the Tsiolkovsky to escape destruction for the second time.

Congratulations, keep up the good work.
