Greetings professor!
Let me introduce myself, I am captain Roy Khan, captain of the research vessel Equinox, current leader of the Cambridge Stellar Research division. I have found your log about the research of the Gravitational anomalies at the Privas Planetary Cluster. I found it most interesting and thereby I would like you to take a look at our research, maybe you find it interesting.
Firstly there is no need to call me professor, I have no formal qualifications or training. Secondly I would verymuch like to meet with you, however I am afraid I have a busy schedule for the next few days and cannot meet you in space for at least a week. However if you would be willing to talk over this channel I would be more than happy to.
Jack Denton
P.S. My apologies if my response seems a bit...scattered. I am transmitting from a hand held device and it is being a bit of a pain.
I am disappointed that we can't meet, although I can understand that you're busy.
We are almost finished with our research on the Goddess Geode and it's tiny occupants, the "scrubbies" and we at the CSR was thinking about joining our forces for the sake of the science. Our institute can finance bigger missions and we're trying to gain friends and supporters all over Sirius.
Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought.
I would verymuch like to join forces, as you have most likely seen in my log on Privas I am currently trying to replicate the Daam K'Vosh devices I found within the planets in the Privas cluster. However I am severly hampered by the fact that the Prometheus does not have the equipment to manufacture such a device, as a result all prototypes so far have been made by hand. It is an incredibly slow and difficult process.
I have just enabled further encryption, so we can say it's secure.
You mean you were able to make a replica of the gravitational device you found. Interesting. We were able to secure a power cell, which we suppose to be built by the Daam K'vosh, but we still don't know if we can keep the device, or the TAZ wants to keep it. Although I would be happy, if you could take a look at it, maybe together we would be able to make a replica of that item too. Also we found crystals, that were energized by this device, and a smaller one has the capacity as any of the power reactors of our current technology. The only problem is that these crystals rather work like batteries.

Yes I have been able to replicate the Daam K'Vosh devices on a small scale, I still have many kinks to iron out of the design though.
As to the power cell, I would be thrilled to study such a rare piece of technology. As I said I cannot meet you in person for at least a week but if we could decide apon a time to meet and study the device then I would be more than happy to.
We have just received a new job in Pennsylvania system, and we have to get ready for the research. You may be also interested, as someone found a very old structure on one of the moons. Anyway, please contact me when you are available and we will try to find a suitable time for our meeting.
With regards, Cpt. Khan.

I can meet you at 11-o'clock 06/09/11 GMT + 10. Is this time acceptable? If so where would you like to meet?
With regards to the structure found on the moon in Pennsylvania, that is interesting... If it is indeed as old as you say it would most likely pre-date human colonization of Sirius, that points towards a Daam K'Vosh structure. Most Daam K'Vosh planetary bases have been wiped out by centuries of erosion so this structure could be a fantastic scientific discovery.
The time is acceptable, we will contact you the place before the time given.
The building is indeed from the time of the Daam K'vosh, but not of their origin. They appear to be of some other race, not as advanced as them, but perhaps advanced enough to be spacefaring, or near it. At least that is why we were sent there. But still we hope, that we may find something interesting.
Captain Khan.

Ironically this building, created by a race less sophisticated than the Daam K'Vosh, could be a more important find than a Daam K'Vosh installation. I do not know of any other races from that long ago, if they were indeed spacefaring there could be much to learn from this building.
I will eagerly await the location of our meeting, if anything cones up I will contact you ahead of time but I doubt there will be any problems.
Also, I have gone over the scans of the Daam K'Vosh devices that I found in the Privas cluster again, I believe that I can make out a large collection of the crystals that you were referring to earlier. How long did the crystals that you possessed last before being completly drained of energy?
