Hey out there. You've probably not heard of me, but i've heard of you. It seems that i've had a little story offered to me regarding one spacefaring researcher, something to do with Privus Probes, exposed secrets, rah rah rah I'm not a scientist.Anyway. I'm sure theres two sides to every story, so I decided to dig in and see if you've got anything to say about this?

A million dollars isn't cool. You know what is cool? A basilisk.
Indeed, I do have a comment to make about the matter.
One Jack Denton, and independent researcher, contacted Ageira Technologies several days ago. He was trying to sell us certain research data and the blueprints to an experimental device he was supposedly developing.
In order to conduct and exchange between the corporation and Mr Denton, I flew out to Freeport 11 in the remote Edge World system of Omicron Delta.
I arrived at the Freeport at the designated time, and Mr Denton was there waiting for me. Some Corsairs were embroiled in battle with Bounty Hunters a few Klicks from the base, so Mr Denton suggested vacating in the area in favour of somewhere with less trafic, and we headed out towards a nearby gas giant.
With the credits for Mr Denton in my hold, he began to transmit the data to my ship. Upon completing the download, I transferred the case containing his credits by tractor beam. Things were going smoothly until a wing of Corsair very heavy interceptors swung out from the dark side of the gas giant and began to fire on my ship. As I began to return fire, outnumbered six to one, Denton announced that he had changed the access codes to a set of research probes - which was part of the data he had promised us.
I realised that I had made a grave mistake and had been drawn into a trap. As Denton began to charge weapons on his Ahodouri Explorer, I fired a cluster of disruptor missiles to prevent him pursuing me. By sheer luck, the Corsairs turned to engage a number of unidentified hostile contacts, providing me with an opportunity to escape.
At least, I thought I had finished the encounter with something of value: the blueprints to a certain prototype device Mr Denton claimed could be used to enhance interstellar transportation. Alas, after examination by our top science teams, we uncovered a number of basic conceptual flaws - the device will never work.
Therefore, we will have no choice but to order the termination of Jack Denton for corporate theft and attempted murder of an employee.

Well, Denton told me that the agreed-upon sum was something he didn't get. He said you cheated him out of a good 190 million credits. And from what I see here on my desk...that doesn't match up. I quote:
"We can't have anyone exposing our secrets, sorry buddy."
"No one will believe you, some random stranger over the words of our prestigious corporation."
So I dunno. Doesn't quite make sense to me.
