I know bs guns are being reworked for next version. Great, i cant wait to actually have secondaries be useful.
However, would it be possible to include slow firing but heavy hitting primary guns, same or slightly more dps than the normal, but the slow refire demanding accuracy be key?
Think of it like a bigger gun with slower energy charge or somthing.
Just a rough idea, many people such as me are sick of seeing capital heavy guns as angry tennisball launchers.

Primary guns are just that, primary guns. Why are they firing the same ROF as fighter plasma guns for a gun massively larger?
Because it's an effective speed? The size of the gun doesn't affect its firing speed. It's the way it's constructed and the size of the ammunition that affect it.
Apparantly that analogy did not go through to you. Having bs guns firing at the same speed as fighter guns is like having a 10 inch gun firing at the speed of a 50 cal.

Depending on the construction and size of ammunition to gun, you could create such a gun.

I get the feeling it probably did, but he's ignored it. There have always been elements of Freelancer and Discovery which defy realism.
High accuracy, heavy damage, short range gun would be the Battlerazor. Which also gets an energy efficiency boost in 4.86. Primary purpose: Sniping fighters and gunboats.

If you look at It's refire rate, you'll see that it has lower refire rate then Mortar. What is Lunaphase trying to say, is to have something simillar to Cerberus guns. Cerberuses are inaccurate, but they deal much more damage then primary guns.
