Gamma is a place where many brave astronauts go for adventure.
sometimes RP is difficult to find in these raids.
Actually according to rumors , enemies of the sairs can't even reach gamma due to its heavy defenses.
Now look at Gammas defenses.
They are a joke.
Surely you can run to O91 or just dock at any of the bases.
Fact is that rumors state that enemies of sairs never made it into gamma.
But its so much fun?!?

I agree PvP is fun.
but since this is discovery RP would it not be nicer to act according to lore ingame , and meet in some other systems where these battles actually can take place inrp?
I am sure that real defenses in gamma would demotivate the constant raids and save us from a lotta tears.
I am thinking bout defences like in O52.
If they can have it , I wanna have it too.
Ofcourse I am a very biased person ,
but many agree with me that either this or changing its name to Gammaticut would be the best way to deal with the situation.
Could add NPC gunboat patrols or add mini razors to the Titans there, but any potential defense changes are all on the dev side... even if we want an Osiris stationed at every JH, the devs have the final say.

Yes, in RP I think the Corsairs should have better defenses compared to the much smaller Coalition... the Corsairs are the single largest unlawful force in existence, they need more non-player meat in the space in terms of firepower.
should boost the stationary defenses a bit... I was in my noob gunboat and found a group of RH camping the gamma hole in 41, so I jumped through thinking they wouldn't follow, but it was lolgank anyway since nothing to fear on the other side.

Gimme a good RP reason as to why assault forces of that size can regularly breach the most powerful unlawful force's home system defenses. Why not work for your lols like everyone else? People raid NY still even with all the dreadnaught patrols.
like i suggested in the past, all entrances to Gamma and Alpha should be guarded by two weapon platforms with "ISIS" type chaingun LM and TCD's.
Like joey said, the current situation, server wide, is effectively turning specific systems into "conneticut w/engagement notice". This is harmful for both server RP, but also sets a horrible example for new players trying to learn the role of their faction.
And what system can be better for roleplay development then your home system when your a unfamiliar with said factions RP? Sadly the current situation in Gamma prevents this, to a degree were the only RP existent in said system is engagement notices and official factions yelling at indies for shooting allied transports.
Measures must be taken. Equipping each "entry" jumphole with two weapon platforms armed to the teeth would help.
Give them HP enough to withstand 3 heavy mortars and your good to go. at most 30 minute dev work, and an unmeasurable amount of enjoyable time in these systems without being ganked to death by RR, FACE, RHA, SCRA, BHG, OC, GMG, ZONERZONERZONER and whatever else that can make their way to Gamma/Alpha
Omega-52 is supposed to be an impenetrable system, where it is full of Storm and Revolution patrols. People still invade/raid/use it as a shortcut. Even with the weapon platforms and cruisers guarding the only entrances. I don't see how Gamma would differ much if the same thing happened there.

said defence measures does not possess a CD. And their disabled VERY easily. In addition in believe their located 2k+ from the jumphole, reduce that distance to 1k and buff their armament and your result will be VERY VERY different.
On the contrary, have you tried to disable guard system weapon platforms? Some of them can easily tank a dual HM.
