Why would using the Sun Corona have a Punishment? It's a Tactic, a common Tactic actually. There are quite a few Examples in Shows like Star Trek or Stargate.
It's also not only a Tactic used by Cruisers and Battleships. Traders do that to escape from Pirates or whenever they got caught smuggling.
As I said, just wait for 4.86. Because there will be different Cruise Speeds, which could be enough to fly around the Corona and still catch that Ship.
"Who is it doing this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin'?"
The talk isn't about it being not legitimate. The discussion is about the actual damage Battleship takes being in sun corona. Currently ships larger then a fighter takes so little damage so it takes lots of time for it to melt in sun. We want sundamage to be buffed dramaticly so even a large ship will not be able to sit there forever and even a 20-30 seconds will lead to massive hull and equipment damage. Light crafts will poof even more faster, but that will fix issue with people flying through the sun like it's np.

Oh yes. Touching star with my VHF is cool. So is F1'ing a tactic. Yet we have actual punishments for it.
Ok, I'll agree to up sun damage for large ships when capships are allowed to fly and shoot through asteroids, space debris, and stations without hinderance. The terrain of the game is almost overwhelmingly in favor of the snubs. If this one tactic is beyond your ability then I'm thinking the problem isn't with the cap-pilot, but with you.
@Arthur
Are you going to make fleeing sanctionable offense, then? How about using a jump hole or trade lane? Those are all used to avoid the interaction as well. Your logic is absurd. There is never going to be rules to force your target to submit to you, get over it.
But yeah. I missed by huge margin on this analogy =/
Escaping through the Sun Corona is not to avoid Interaction, it is to actually survive.
If you're chased by a Battleship in a Fighter, what do you do? You probably run into an Asteroid Field, where you can actually get away. It's the same Thing, just without taking Damage.
