Possible, but not for the initial .86 release.

That was one of the reasons they received a buff. To make it more interesting instead of a 7-second job of blowing them up and collecting their cargo.

You know, how people can travel through most of Liberty with impunity due to NPCs being less dangerous than a bloated gnat while going through Rheinland in a Starflier is effectively pirate-assisted suicide?
Whether this is through toughening the weaker ships or rearranging NPCs doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, but this seems like the place to ask.
NPC difficulty levels are already being rebalanced, but is not likely to be ready by the initial release. Some NPC have already been rebalanced, mostly those who received new models, as I had to retool their loadouts for the new model anyway, but there are still many vanilla and pre-.86 spawns needing done. These changes will be released during .86 updates. As mentioned earlier in the thread, the NPCs in Okinawa (having been custom-made by myself when making the system) will be the template I use for the rest of the NPC system. Capships will remain strong, transports are getting a buff.
' Wrote:What the Hell why all NPCs pirates or criminals always try to kill you ,why they dont demand some things like cash or cargo and leave you?
This is not the place to discuss that?
also, this will make pirates jobs a bit harder, with battletransports that can actually damage a lone pirate thats just skulking the lane waiting for a powertrader to fly by.
Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

If they are neutral on your repsheet, that's exactly what they do. If they are hostile on your repsheet, they operate just like every other hostile on your repsheet. You get attacked. That's what hostile means and that's why it's red.

Exactly. The idea is to stop people from sitting around idly doing nothing in zones that should be dangerous to them.
I have one thing to say: Please don't give NPC caps missile turrets.
They can spam those, causing mortar-like damage, which is devastating for all smaller ships.
For the bigger ships they cause equipment to be destroyed. This really is not necessary, just as they should
not be using mortars, since those slowfiring high-energy weapons would be overpowered on infinite cores.
Especially with the missile-vs-shield-bug being fixed it will hurt player capital ships in a very bad way.
Also, long range missiles can be fired by caps which the player doesn't even see yet, causing damage to the
player or even destroying him, without him ever noticing the NPC cap around. I know the mission bug, which
caused the NPCs to spawn out of sight and start firing at the player while he does not see them and their
shots yet, was fixed, but there are still the NPC patrols around for example.
Maybe even GBs shouldn't be using missile turrets, but my main focus lies on everything bigger than those.
That's one of my main concerns with stronger NPC ships around.
Overall I'm looking forward to NPCs which actually can fight back a bit better.
Is it possible to add a few BHG cap ship encounters in the Omicrons?
The PvE in a Team versus a destroyer is very challenging and a lot of fun. I would really like to fight against some Thresher and Mako patrolls.
Thanks in advance!
Mako and Thresher patrols already exist in the Omicrons I believe. I know they used to. Regardless, Mako patrols will be put near BHG's major stations in the Omicrons, with cruiser patrols near their minor stations. Elsewhere it'll be GBs and fighters.

They won't have them. I'll also be removing them from stationary bases.
