from looking at the tec Chart I see that the kusari gunboat "explorer" is the only civillian gunboat out there.(unless i misread something) but all the gunboat turrets are faction owned. Am i seeing this right?
a Freelancer ID will not allow you to own a house gunboat?(i'm thinking i'm right here, but want clarification)
so then on the flip side can any pirate own a pirate Gunboat, or do they have to be in a player faction to do so?
thats what i thought. I knew I should had screenshotted.
Long story short. outcast GB in cali, and from what i could tell it was not a playerfaction outcast (unless the outcast faction are tagless)
what made me think this smelled really funny, was the fact after 5 minutes she got some cash from me, she logged. but then again i didn't screenshot, so not gonna name any names as i do not have proof.
Several pirate factions either have access to their own Gunboat. Others who don't have their own Gunboats either need to get one from another pirate faction, or they can use the Ahoudori (aka Kusari Explorer). The tech chart holds all the answers here.
Pirates shouldn't be flying House Gunboats - they're only available to their owners, and to Freelancers or Mercenaries who have gained permission to use one.
The Outcast Official faction is the [101st] - that's their tag.

well if that's thier tag, then this deffinantly was not a faction outcast, as it was two names, with no tag. i mean the GB was outcast as well as guns and stuff. Damn i wish i would had screenshotted.
If they were using an Outcast GB with an Outcast ID, I don't know why you made this thread... if they were using a Pirate ID then they need permission from the Outcasts. See the Technology Use thread for all permissions listed.
Also, I don't know why you're concerned about the lack of faction tag. Not being in a faction does not restrict in any way the classes of ships available to a player.
The reason i made this thread was because I thought i understood the Tech chart, but then i see this GB and now i have questions.
So basically I can buy a liberty navy ID and then use thier ships and equipment? I thought you had to get special permission or be in that faction. and special permission, that's like indicated by your ID, or did i read that wrong.
