Well, for a start, we aren't Gaians. We may be allied with them, but we aren't themselves. And also, it will be the only Tridente in the Fifth Cell, that's of course, if Patrician approves it.
I hope I made it enough clear. If not, let me know.
EDIT: As the Fifth Cell has an very experienced Hacker in its ranks, I thought that some good RP could be made.

Also, the GMG do have territorial aims.
They're a recognised sub-house that owns a large segment of the Sigmas, as well as Okinawa. They're currently at war with Kusari because they were trying to boot Samura out of Kurile and 'liberate' it.

Again, I am referring to the Canon lore, not players' attempts to give Kusari more activity.

/Shrug.
Why do you think the GMG fought the 80 Year War, if they weren't defending their sovereign territory? They own Sigma 13, 19, 59 and Okinawa.
They defended their mining operations from Rheinland that tried to take over them, that's different. They don't claim these parts as -their- space and try to govern it. They peacefully live along side with their neighbors (canon-wise) from Kusari and Rheinland.
Also, think that the Fifth Cell doesn't know everyone's dark secrets. We know what we are shown or able to dig-off.
