Can I ask why is Faroe in your area of primary operations? I mean even Lewis is supposed to be unknown system to anyone but Gaians and GRN but a top secret gaian guard system?
The ZOI map is fairly general geographicly. I dont want to close down avenues for rp just because a map that we put up says we cant go somewhere.
Edit: And you dont think the Brets know about Lewis now that there is a heavy stream of Valors coming out of the Jumphole?
I have also never been a big fan of "secret" systems that characters must not find out about. This argument is usually accompanied by members of said faction racing for said system to avoid an engagement and then claiming they cant be followed since the system is "secret"
I should admit that I haven't read all these pages. I'm just here to ask something.
I really like the concept of the Kusari Exiles as they add something different to the usual House wars while they also have a reason for fighting. It is in my opinion, one of the best introductions in this mod. Therefore, I'd like to try out that kind of RP however I won't achieve this by staying as an indie. The problem is that I am pretty busy so I don't expect to stay and contribute to the faction for long.
So I am wondering whether you accept such kind of members and if the answer is yes, <strike>can you please give me a link of where I can apply / find information on how to join?</strike> (finally found the recruitment thread)

I thought it used to be a major source of contention between yourself and Tinkerbell when he poked around the Farmer system? Guess times change.
Anywho, wondering how you feel about running multiple factions at once. You planning on giving up the TBH in order to focus your efforts here or are you just going to multi faction? Likewise the other factions you're "SIC" of.

No I think I will be fine. I can't wait to see when you will be giving that question to everyone else on the server who is part of the leadership of multiple factions.

I wasn't aware any of them were in a position of attempting to create additional factions to add to their list?
Phantoms, IND, TBH, Farmers, Samura, Kusari as a whole, Ronin. If I'm getting them all Most of those factions have maintained either long periods of steep decline or died off entirely under your leadership, or part of your leadership, as you put it. For the sake of argument let's state that the reasons for those periods of decline could be attributed to your considerable real life and administrative demands coupled with, if I'm not mistaken, an imminent international move.
Given that you snatched up this slot so readily that I would blush if I were associated with the move, let alone your insistence that only it be granted access to lore based accessories (see: caps) in a faction you claimed heavy authorship of, something about this whole process makes me wonder if it's not motivated by a desire to seize control of an aspect of the game that you feel belongs to you by right without giving due consideration to your ability to invest the time and energy such a virgin enterprise would demand to be, say, anything other than a faction that goes for several months without seeing a message dump post or noteworthy movement beyond ensuring the lowest possible standards are kept to avoid disbanding.
Tl;dr: Given the broad pedigree of factions you're currently sitting in the high chair of and many of their lapses in activity, yeah, I think it's a worthwhile point to bring to the table.

I thought I'd stop in and see what all this thread was about, but I thought I should make a comment on this. To the best of my knowledge, Zelot has never been in a leadership position of Samura unless it happened like 4+ years ago. At least not the one that is official today.

My thought in that regard is based on a skype call in which he expressed sadness that one of his faction's ships (Renzu) was taken to supply another of his faction's ships (Samura LF thing from hell) and some ensuing dialogue concerning the same in addition to the manner in which Kusari has operated for the last spell.
Just to throw out my line of thought in that regard.
Edit: I'd like to stress something: I don't really care if Zelot runs this faction. That it's going to be official is a given. He built it, he has the people backing him, he has the hours, there is no competition.
I feel that the issue concerning lack of focus in time, creativity and drive has led to the undoing and general backsliding of a number of factions and groups over the years. I feel that same describes many of the factions Zelot has led. I think it is an issue which sees a great deal of relief when cured with focus. One faction suffers from attention diverted to the other, both suffer with attention given to both. Faction leadership is not simply a matter of updating a roster and telling people to keep it cool in chat and demanding people login.
The old Liberty Rogues, for example, would not have fleshed out the details they maintained if Del's attention was divided between the LR, XA and two trade factions.
Lets keep it on topic, guys, please. Arguing about who is arguing and who can argue is rather not something for this thread. The moderators have cleaned the thread.
Zelot has never led Samura, what are you talking about ?
Renzu is also not his faction. Renzu is a civilian, open line to everyone on the server. Sure inRP it's "owned" by the IND, but outside of RP did you ever see Zelot attempt to restrict the use of any Renzu ship ?
I haven't been part of the Phantoms. But honestly a faction like the Phantoms is just like the IND. It's the players as a whole that make it, not the leadership. I don't think you can blame Zelot all alone of activity issues. If nobody wants to log willingly and just do it when the leadership ask them to do so, then it's the whole faction itself that has an issue, not the leader.
