Deciding which ship

So I really want to basically explore Discovery I want a gunboat or a cruiser to do so with, but I am worried about illegally crossing borders.. I really like the Order Recon Cruiser but I wouldn't be allowed into Liberty... what are your opinions on a ship of the same make that is suited for cross faction travel? I already have a fighter.. and a liner is too much mula..

None of the houses allow foreign caps to fly in their space without permission. Biggest you can use is a gunboat. If you want unlimited exploration, the Zoner gunboat is pretty much what you are looking for.

Use an fl id Conference Zoner gunboat or a Kusari Explorer.

Better buy Freighter or light fighter. Cause they have 400 cruise speed and it will be faster to explore

Edit: as Pancakes said Kusari Explorer is good option. And as freelancer can use it, u won't have problems with police:)

Kusari Explorer is an exploration ship, which is also relatively easy to fly and be "medium" pilot at.

For cruisers - all houses ban them without special permission.

You would be breaking ID restrictions so...
Expect sanctions.

Scratch thats only in the case of using an Order ID...
If you use a Zoner ID and the Order Cruiser you would just
get shot.... alot...:)

Pretty much this, Spatial was also made for exploration. Corvo house navies will often let cross their space if you ask nicely.

The best ship to explore with is a light fighter. Might not make sense in RP, but when you enter systems like Iota, you will get the idea why.
