Loss of o41/theta hole doesn't bother me. Infact - quite fine, since this will prevent People basing attacks from corfu-back to corfu, since that one is close to both sides of entering gamma (o41 and theta holes). As for freeports - these shouldn't allow any capships, except zoner ones to dock.
For more realistic wipe - it could be destabilized
... and any fighter attempting to use the hole also explodes. Which basically blocks snubs from going through. Bad idea Revan, please consider all ship classes when thinking of applying area damage.
Anyway, unintended consequence. I moved the Sigma 17 hole in Sigma 13 - now the route ends up going over Sigma 19, then over 17 by gate and back over the holes. Once the Omega 41 and Omega 5 holes are relocated we'll see if the effect is sufficient.

Gives Corsairs an unfair DEFENSE advantage when attacking them.
Well, ye, I know you ppl like daily raids - basing attacks from station 30k away, with 2 sides to attack from and always having secondary hole for escape - kappa, theta or o41 - hard to guard them all in time. Also, basing attacks from Zoner bases is violation of usage rules of these stations.
I understand that my Reaver will get same hard times for that. But tbh... I'll still be able to come in and as attacks vs sairs are based from Hessian stations - doesn't change a thing. As for RR guys - Find yourselves a proper non-zoner base to start daily lolRaids from;)
Note it's home system. And right now it's really easy to reach. Check o52 - guard sys-like defenses, non-comfy holes to attack it and even has bomber NPCs and stationary cruisers at holes.
I would have no problem with IC| being restricted to lane travel (where lanes exist). In lore jump holes are temporary, unstable, and dangerous on a good day. House traders should stick to trade lanes where they're nice big, juicy targets for Disco's pirate population.
Or. Add a minefield.. Kinda like ones in doublin. Just more damage...
IRP. Sairs did it to keep out hessians from their turf... Radiation + mines = death to transports. However fighters can make it through if they care enough to weave and dodge their way through

since I started playing multiplayer I notice I take almost this "passive damage" when going through a minefield. I'm not hitting mines but I see my shield dropping like I am. if those mines were strong enough to threaten transports they'd surely kill fighter.
and do corsair cap ship use omega41? might make things hard on them.
so I recently started exploring Coronado. I must say you're all doing a wonderful job.
so I recently started exploring Koeln. I must say you're all doing an amazing job.
some time ago I explored Rousillon. Impressive. Particularly the music on the planet that was a nice surprise.
so I recently started exploring Omega-55. LOL... NOMADS. LOTS AND LOTS OF NOMADS. SHOOTING THINGS. I GOT THE HELL OUT OF THERE. (and I was thinking, jeez I can't remember what that one was from the news. I hope I don't run into a nomad system)
recently started exploring Omega-41. what did you guys do to the star? that new effect there, that's impressive.

To update, this task is effectively completed to my satisfaction. The O41-Theta jump hole is NOT being removed, but jump holes along the path we have been discussing have been moved further apart. The changes are in Omega 5, 41, and Theta. It will take a few minutes longer to go between Corfu and Cambridge. This does not entirely remove the shortcut by the numbers, but I think the practical obstacles of having to fly around the O41 neutron star, navigate asteroids in Omega 5, and risk pirates overall will make the "shortcut" actually a longer trip if you actually fly both routes. The changes to Omega 5 and 41 actually almost cancel each other out from the standpoint of Corsair Artifact smuggling to Liberty, so that basically remains the same length trip.
Thanks to everyone for their input. I think this was actually one of the less obnoxious development threads about a controversial subject that I've seen, despite some occasional snarkiness.
