A had a thing for her for a little while (but then again, who didn't?), but it faded because I knew we just didn't like the same things, so an attempt at a relationship would be pointless.

I won't give you too much grief about the 'friendzone' having allowed myself to fall into that trap more than once before...but saying "I think of her like a sister" is mostly code talk for "I want her but I missed my window of opportunity to make that absolutely clear to her & now, for whatever reason, she thinks of me like a brother."
