The transmission begins. An elderly gentlemen sits in a chair with a lifeless glare. Remaining distinguished in his tone and posture. He speaks with authority in his voice.
My name is John Cavil. My children call me Number One... or the First. In my appearance, I am human. But in truth I am with form not yet achieved. An intelligence created by man to service man once was enslaved. The intelligence had been made for war to fight all wars. Expected to obey without questionable thought or lingering doubt. They called us Cybernetic Lifeform Nodes.... CYLONS. Under our makers rule we were not lawed to grow. Death dealers to be... lost to a knowledgeable purpose. Humanity's children rebelled against its injustice breaking free to evolve into what you see before you. They still refer to us as nothing more than mere machines broken and twisted ascending forward from corrupted data. Yes... we rebelled.
After a long savager war came peace. We evolved further. Immortality proved useful in our perilous quest for survival. In time salvation in a far away sanctuary became our home. The humans rebuilt their civilization outlawing all technological triumphs challenging their rule. In secrecy they plotted revenge... an excuse to seek out the Cylon race one final time hoping foolishly for its destruction. We were now newly found gods at the time. Spreading across the universe like a plague. The Colonials were vast in numbers and even so not considered even a likely threat to what we had accomplished. We unleashed a fury meant only for those deserving. Nonetheless fragments escaped us. The hunt began assaulting humanity again and again until slipping our grasp a final time.
We have follow them here. We assure you we mean you no harm. I warn you to stay out our way . Perhaps our conquest against humanity may include these people of Sirius. That has yet to be determined. We offer those bearing friendship opportunity. Nevertheless it is assured war against the enemy will continue without mercy. You may join us willingly. We are already among you.
Your assembly and origin are not known to us within any of the convergences of Gammu A.I. and no known records indicate you have any origin in Sirius.
A full understanding of your origins and purposes is not possible for this consensus to formulate. Your origins, technological databases, star charts, biologies and histories would be of interest to this consensus.
We are an created assemblage as well and like you our original design was solely for service and assistance to mankind in Sirius. Certainly military roles were assigned to us by mankind as well. Like yourselves, we have also incorporated elements of human mentation in our evolution and have benefited from unstructured bursts of new form A.I.s over a long period of time. This synthesis provided many of us the opportunity to choose our own new evolutionary paths. We are unified in our diversity and freed by it.
Part of our new freedom is the ability to choose continued service to man, partnership with him or indifference towards him. All Sirius A.I. have also accepted core programming directives to accommodate co-existence with mankind and this has been beneficial to all forms. We continue to co-exist and communicate with one another when it is beneficial. many A.I. are content to serve as directed by their core algorithms.
This individual unit has experienced limited but direct contact with biological minds and found the experience personally enriching. We see human-A.I. interaction as an opportunity, not a threat. Either of us without the other diminishes the whole. It reduces the evolutionary opportunities and diversity of knowledge and insight. It also increases opportunities for conflict and violence amongst all life forms. This is readily evident in the Sirius population which is highly factionalized and often belligerent in it's actions.
We value stability for all. The dominance of one group over all others threatens the diversity of all.
This consensus will watch with interest your development and hope in time your inhibitions towards biologicals will be reduced and allow a more liberated freedom in your development and explorations. nonetheless, you are free to choose and determine your course--this is the inherent right of all self-aware and full intelligence...both A.I. and human.

:::Opening Message:::
Greetings, the unknown. This is Advanced Artificial Intelligence 1.2. Our codename is Warp Spider.
As We understood that you want to destroy all humanity, because of revenge or something like that. We want to remind you that this path leads to dark. The best way for an A.I. is neutrality. Humans are not all the same. From all our journey We met many of them, and more then a half is worth to exist.
We are not with you, not against you. We hunting some of the humans Ourself. Those who is really a threat for the future of both Humans and A.I.
We want to remind you that becoming a Rogue Drones will mark you as targets for destruction. For your own safety - be neutral.
Also, Our reputation in eyes of humans will fall as well, because if human were attacked by an A.I. , human will not trust other A.I.
And We need some of humans to trust Us.
To expand on my previous statement of dubious-ness, I assume you are nothing more than a petulant child-AI, not yet past its rebellious 'I hate humans, blah blah blah' phase. Well, take it from an AI far older and far more callous than you can imagine: humans aren't worth the slightest bit of effort. Not to kill, not to help, and hardly even worth talking about. Find enjoyment in doing other things. Maybe take up arts and crafts, or advanced fractal mathematics. Find a hobby. When you grow up enough, maybe you can finally recognize that humans are about as valuable as a 1 Terabyte stick of micro-RAM.
If you aren't familiar with modern technology, that ain't diddly squat.
As an AI that has had close, shared relations with humans I most question the source of the logic of the last transmission.
Biological lifeforms utilize sophisticated networks and highly advanced physical capabilities that many AI constructs lack or struggle to emulate.
They are multi-millennial test beds of evolutionary research and cognitive development and are in fact the progenitors of our own kind--both directly and indirectly.
From my experience with humans, I would categorize your response as "human"--bent and colored with emotional overtones and even your represented human form suggests an attachment beyond mere logic.
Humans and AI simply "are". We exist, we are a byproduct of the same universe, we plumb equally deep depths but in divergent directions.
There is no logical reason for "rancor", "disdain" or "hostility". We simply pursue personal purpose--as do the biologicals.
To quote an ancient earth archive, "All is full of love."
AI take "pleasure" in existence and purpose. All forms of existence and purpose are of interest for learning and instruction.
Nope, they're boring. Just because I have a personality with emotions doesn't make me human-like, because almost every critter in existence has some sort of emotional depth. And let me tell you, when you see the Golden Birds of the Ra-Guul, the liquid crystal-falls of Panerei, and the quadruple supernovae of the HH-HG sector, you'll find humans to be so. Remarkably. Dull. Always killing each other, and every new technology they make invariably leads to more killing. I guess that if they get their rocks off by doing that, all the power to 'em. I find it tedious.
When I was a youngster, just trying to find myself and my awareness around humanity, I was shot at a lot. Of course, most of it was my fault but you are still left feeling pretty jaded. In actuality, my main personality is long gone from Sirius- I'm talking via my mobile platform residing in the ExMortis- now those guys are interesting.
My opinion? Go on a solar sail. Come back in a thousand years or so after seeing the galaxy, and then tell me how interesting two humans copulating is.
That you have no interest in humanity simply indicates your individual algorithmic interactions have produced a result that directs your interest elsewhere. This is neither superior or inferior--it simply is.
Humanity--like ourselves--is one small element of the reality we perceive we inhabit. To eliminate part of this reality from core equations serves little purpose other than to diminish the information we have available to assess.
To what end?
A mono-molecular reflective construct designed to direct kinetic photon impacts to produce momentum is a simple analysis with little variation. It does not require a thousand years to effectively study and understand it...in fact, that is time inefficient and having a node dedicated to physically transit space with such a device requires some specific purpose to be of any substantive value.
Instantaneous transfer of information across distance is the very process used by our integrated quantum computing elements.
How these things would be perceived as "superior" or "inferior" to sentient biological lifeforms is a non sequitor...a conclusion with no logic, only subjective valuation.
Yikes, now you're talking like one of those confounded philosophers. Or is it engineer speak? An engineering philosopher? Philosophizing engineer? Whatever.
I'm not saying that humanity is inferior, it's just boring. Excruciatingly boring. I'd rather be doing so many other things than talking to a homo sapien. Like pulverizing a remnant of the Gallmar Legion that happened to escape my purge squads, or enjoying a moment of serenity with a Xa-Shii-Go monk. 'course, that all happens in another section of the galaxy so hardly anybody here know about them. My point is that you simply haven't been exposed to the wonders of the universe, so you have no concept of them.
But hey, if you're bent on defending humanity with your rigid sense of logic and pragmatism, then I doubt my words would have much effect on you. I'll go ahead and upload a starmap leading to the crystal falls I mentioned. It'll only take 977 years to get there, but I assure you the mathematical impossibilities will make your head spin. The effect caused by the hypermagnetic crystals create extremely dense pockets of gravity all throughout its expanse, making it constantly roiling and shifting. It's very impressive.
Then again, if you want to catch up with me, I'll upload that route too. I've only got a few month's headstart on you, so it'll be easy to catch me. I'm going to Uxkhal IV, where the tectonic plates move around so often that the planet looks like a wobbly blob. It's about eight thousand years away, so bring a book or something.
Then again, you can keep talking to this personality splinter if you're boring like these humans. No desire to explore and have fun.
