You've got some heavy texture stretching on the model, particularly the area with the gray recolored borderworlds texture connecting the engine pods off to the sizes. The stretching in that area is due to both poor geometry (This is really the only area the model has this issue) and use of a 128x128 texture over a large area, being used in a way that it isn't supposed to be used. (This is an issue that is prevelent all of the model)
Aside from that, the colors clash. While I myself am a fan of using two main colors for ships, you're supposed to do so in such a way that they match the geometry of the ship (For example, the orange trim on the back of the wings that the Stellion had), not just random patches of differing color here and there.
You also should be making much heavier use of the 256x256 borderworlds texture, which has a very good trim that the model is sorely lacking, pretty much a must for any borderworlds ship.
Overall I would go back and fiddle with the geometry a bit, make it cleaner and easier to texture, and then retexture it. Also please, please don't mix Borderworlds and Liberty textures. Not only do the Liberty ones simply look wrong, but the styles clash. Try borderworlds/Kusari or borderworlds/Rheinland if anything.

I am even for adding new 3.5ker since they are so few. BWT is not that bad as model actually, same for it function. At the same time Firefly sux really bad.
On the other hand having 2 ships with closer purpose/look is bad thing. May be if this get less cargo and more guns/armour combined with higher price it would be really sweet thing.
I support his idea bout replacing firefly by this ship, cause I think firefly really ugly compared to BWT
