Bonsoir!
My first report about job that have been done by cruiser I have been assigned to, RNS Lyon. There have been several fights we have participated in, first with two bretonian fighters, who chased me to the far end of Leeds system. I've successfully destroyed both. Secondly, fight between Corsairs and Bretonians. I haven't interfere with them, however one Council bomber decided to engage my ship, however he failed as well. Latter, when Corsairs ended with their fight, together with secondary battleship we've destroyed Council battleship near Leeds planet. Here are some files:

Bonjour,
I undocked from Guillestere in Tau 23, where I was invited to a patrol in Bretonia from ONI-Vichy. We started from Tau-31, and we headed to Dublin. ONI-Vichy was telling me about what information she was trying to find. In Dublin, we found a Molly Scylla flying so we asked it to stop for a talk. The Molly seemed friendly, and ONI-Vichy asked it about the information. After we were done, we went back to Leeds, and I went back to Taus. ONI-Vichy headed to Newcastle to try find more information. On my way back, I found two Freelancers, and I asked them if they know anything. They answered, that they were new in Bretonia and didn't know much, so I told them safe flight and I went to back to Tau-31 where I docking on Carcassane Battleship.

Bonjour,
I undocked from Battleship La Riche in my new XJ-3 "Lynx" Gallic Very Heavy Fighter for a little patrol in Tau 23, and ending in Tau 31. I entered the jump hole in Orkney, and went on to look around. I saw no pirates, but I saw a Zoner Capital Ship. My scanner said its a Cruiser class named " Corvo ". I came closer, and a IMG and the Zoner were killing some Outcasts. They said " Hello " to me, and then I left. On my way to Tau 31 after a little patrol around Tau 23, I saw a another Zoner, but my guncams couldn't take a picture, but he followed me to Tau 31. In Tau 31, I came to Battleship Guilllestere and docked there to take some rest.

Bonjour,
Here's my surprisingly a quite patrol report. I undocked from Battleship Carcassane and headed to Tau 23 for a patrol. I went all around Tau 23, but it was silent, no pirate activity, no IMG, no one. I went to the Berylium Field where I found 3 GMS mining the good ore. I talked to them if they seen any pirates, but they said there are none that they seen. After a little talk with them, I headed to Battleship Guillestere to relax since it was very quite in Tau 23.

Bonjour,
Well, quite a good day today. I undocked from Battleship Guillestere, and went for a little patrol around Tau 23. I was close to being done when I got a red signal 14k out. I came closer and it was a Outcast Fighter. We talked, and well he went to some random sector, and our Gunboats met him. He said they had no chance, so I was gonna do it instead of them. Was a long fight, but I had to go on a emergency. So, hes still alive.
yesterday evening I've experienced my first combat situation abroad Gallia. Together with Valerie Quetineau and Marcell commanding the Lyon, we went through Leeds and finally entered Magellan, where we've encountered two Battleships near the Freeport - one obviously belonged to the Bretonia Armed Forces and the other one appeared to be part of the Hellfire rebels. Of course, the former named target was dealt with at once.
Pretty sight, no? Unfortunately, the Hellfire Arbiter who supported the Dunkirk managed to get into safe range, when he calculated his low chance of survival. We took the opportunity and returned to Edinburgh for minor repairs. On our returning we faced a large Liberty Navy fleet, consisting of 1 Carrier, 1 Battlecruiser, 1 Cruiser and 1 Fighter. Naturally none of them survived it to inform their superiors of their distressing defeat.
On a side note, I've saved these sound files, coming from an unknown organic vessel, which watched the fight at a safe distance, here are the audio logs:
Quote:[21.01.2013 22:03:27] K'Hara|Ennugi.: ***{ You hear a very quiet, singing voice.. Which then disappears again. }***
[21.01.2013 22:04:53] K'Hara|Ennugi.: ***{ The voice becomes a little louder. You see images of stars, planets, people.. merge with the system around you. }***
I can't explain why, but for some reason the voice sounded familiar to me, although I'm pretty sure that I've never heard such before. Furthermore I'm suffering heavy headache since that time. Hopefully it'll disappear soon.
In the end, here are some more guncam shots and general informations for the archive:

Bonjour!
Bringing to your attention one interesting subject. Yesterday I found gallic transport with Interspace Commerce papers. At first I suspected it was taken from the Council who currently in friendly terms with Libertonians, however captain of the vessel said that vessel have been purchased from EFL.
Here are some parts of our communications:
Quote:[27.01.2013 19:29:09] IC|Hawaii: I contracted it from the EFL.
[27.01.2013 19:29:54] IC|Hawaii: I passed through 31 just now with EFL ships in range, they did not open fire, why would they ?
As far as I know Interspace have no permits to enter Gallic territory or use our vessels, and I don't think that such deals, if they were ever made, are authorized by the government. Though I may not be right. From here I will leave this matter to you.

Ansel appears on screen, with a grim expression.
Xavier here, providing a record of our most recent engagement with hostile forces.
I opted for a small-scale attack, with myself on a Lynx and Commandant Chevalier commanding the gunboat Gardien. The bretonians responded in timely fashion, arraying a destroyer Redoubt and a bomber.
Despite the unfavorable odds, the Royal Navy emerged victorious, crippling the Destroyer and removing the bomber. I commend Marcell Chevalier and the crew of the Gardien for their steady performance in the face of continued fire.
The Royal Navy may outnumber the Armed Forces at this time, but conflicts like this are a proof that each and every soldier in the Royal Navy is worth significiantly more than his Bretonian counterpart. Keep this up, and victory is assured.
Incoming Transmission from Battleship Villeneuve, Edinburgh System
31. January 736 AGS.
From: Lieutenant Thomas Lévêque. To: Gallic Royal Navy Transmission Center. Topic: Incident with the 'UMG' group.
Bonsoir, mesdames et messieurs.
I contact you to report a particular incident that took place recently during an expedition into the Magellan system. Near Freeport 4, run by the Independent Miners Guild, I encountered four Spatial class mining vessels of a group that calls itself UMG, or "Underground Mining Guild".
From the very beginning, they interfered with my presence in the system, displayed an aggressive behavior and seemed to try scaring me away with their numbers and sheer size of their ships.
Quote:UMG|DestructiveMiner:GRN, here?
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Ah, oui! You are surprised? UMG|DestructiveMiner:certainly not happy about it
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: My presence does not please you? Excusez moi... It is a necessary evil. UMG|DestructiveMiner:we lose customers with your presence. would you mind making yourself scarce of this route?
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Oh? Do not speak in riddles, monsieur, are you threatening me? UMG|DestructiveMiner:I am making a request of you, one pilot to another.
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: You should be aware... It is the goodwill of the gallic king that allows the IMG to continue their business within the Taus. If you wish to profit from these circumstances, you will have to tolerate the presence of the GRN, too. UMG|DestructiveMiner:We are more than only the IMG. When we work in the taus, seeing you is fine. But our customers here in magellan are frightened at the sight of the GRN. You being here hurts our business
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: I hope you are aware of the diplomatic... 'relations' between the empire of Gallia, and Liberty. UMG|DestructiveMiner:Here in magellan we have both libertonians and bretonians coming for materials. Your presence removes half of our customers.
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: The GRN is the enforcing arm of the King, and it will remain within Gallia's zone of influence. UMG|DestructiveMiner:It was merely a request. If you have something to do here, go ahead, but otherwise why hurt our business?
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Certainement. Be careful of how you treat guests in 'your' space. I wish you good luck.
At this point, very much to my surprise as I was about to leave, the miners opened fire without warning, likely trying to destroy my resting ship at one blow. My shield broke down under the massive hit, yet with a quick evasion maneuver I managed to avoid severe damage to the ship hull.
I activated my guns and retaliated immediately. Their hostility and lack of respect for the Gallic forces were more evident than ever, and I was not going to tolerate such an assault. A pilot of the Bounty Hunters Guild arrived at the very same moment, however, he refrained from interfering with the situation.
Quote:At.The.Left.Hand.Ov.God:Nergal: Greetings. UMG|DestructiveMiner:enough, folks UMG|DestructiveMiner:folks enough UMG|DestructiveMiner:he is not a hostile
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: I am now. UMG|DestructiveMiner:you are, eh? At.The.Left.Hand.Ov.God:Nergal: Boys, calm down. UMG|DestructiveMiner:alright, then, so be it.
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Perhaps losing a few of your ships will help you reconsider who you treat with hostility. At.The.Left.Hand.Ov.God:Nergal: Galia folks, they are all crazy i tell you. Crazy!
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: I call it self defense, monsieur. At.The.Left.Hand.Ov.God:Nergal: Why? They try to shoot you down?
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Oui. UMG|DestructiveMiner:negative, i called a cease fire and the gallian declared himself hostile
GRN|Thomas.Leveque,: Only through punishment we can achieve discipline... you made yourself my enemy the moment you opened fire. UMG|Miner-Gunner:lofty words that at best mean nothing, at worst lie
Death: UMG|James.Nelson was put out of action by GRN|Thomas.Leveque, (Gun)
2013-01-31 04:19:50 SMT : UMG|Miner-Gunner is attempting to engage cloaking device
Death: UMG|Miner-Gunner was put out of action by At.The.Left.Hand.Ov.God (Gun)
Death: UMG|Stray_Miner was put out of action by GRN|Thomas.Leveque, (Gun)
Death: UMG|DestructiveMiner was put out of action by GRN|Thomas.Leveque, (Gun)
Their act of aggression resulted in the destruction of their entire wing. I advise care for further encounters with this group. It seems that they do not know their place and don't shy away from using lethal force.
Bonne soirée et à bientôt,
Thomas Lévêque
Lieutenant of the Gallic Royal Navy
It would appear the battlefront in Leeds is slowly being populated by more and more individuals displaying a behaviour typical of Maquis and Brigands vermin toward unaffiliated civilian transports. As tolerating these packs of bandits in our soon-to-belong space will just cause more troubles than benefits, I gave them a prompt execution to one of them before Lévêque and Douffet arrived to nail the second bandit on the run.
Hopefully the message will reach anybody else trying to conduct similar actions in our contested space.
Pour le Roi et le Royaume. Pour le Legion Tricolore.
