Do you remember the bomber NPC's of 4.85 Gallia? The constant complaining about the OP NPC's being the reason why nobody bothered with Gallia back then either?
The initial version where all of them had infinite powercore SNAC and TCD did indeed do more harm than good, but at the same time it's what made Gallia a wonderful place during 4.85.

Cloak cap just removes any willing to interact with player.
And thing, I very dislike, it's when I find some adequate player to RP with, but then comes one, or even worse, groupe of lolwuts with cloaked caps and just pew pew pew pew pew pew and hahahahahahahahahaha.
But srsly...we went to it with our own steps.
Not all of us, I fought it with all i could, but everyone kept telling me to wait and see how it turned out. It turned outt pretty much the way i said it would, but now it is to late, and nothing will change.

Things are getting old real fast.
The admins/devs ignore experianced players, and cater to the new.
They introduce new items that un-balance game.
They change rep ninja's because "Official factions" say to, and screw all indies.
I can go on and on, but i am sure you get it.
yes many of my friends left because of the time gap it took to build 4.86
I remeber when kusari storyline was launched i started to save for a RM carrier with cap Mk 8 but by the time 4.86 got launched i had buyed 3 BS with all Mk 8 armours
Oh no. You just agreed with me. You will now be on half the servers hate list for that.

Of course there's going to be less players, that's because the game is starting to be really old and the dev team decided to pull some really funky stuff that drove away a big chunk of the 4.84/4.85 players, but also because we had to wait almost two years for 4.86 that's easily the worst version of the mod.
Gallia was a hell lot of fun in 4.85. Just a few systems, some pvp in the taus etc it was good. It should never have evolved in a house designed like someone was on drugs when he did it. The Omicrons were a better place too, no 300k to fly to have a chance to meet another player.
Oh well.
Yup i loved 4.85. Everyone claimed 4.86 was going to be great, so despite aguing needlessly that many things would break the game(and did IMO) i looked forward to a new update. Now? I play maybe 10% of the time i used to.

I remember those NPCs. I loved them. I loved all the Guard NPCs also, but they took those away mostly. I liked the system NPCs but again mostly gone now.
People complain here about stuff, and those with alot of skype buds, and ingame pals get listened to, and get what they want changed. But if you are not liked, or have only a few pals, then you are ignored, and large groups troll you to hell.
The server is becoming a large power to the masses, and screw everyone else server.
Now i know i will get trolled for saying that, but it is true. Look at what you do, or where you discuss most issues about Disco though, and tell me i am wrong.
1: Balance the game properly including the 4.86 stuff. There are enough topics and suggestions how to do it. I wont go deep here in order not to post wall of text, it is already posted 100 times.
For example the Cruiser/Bs pirates are easy to fix by adding new transp shield that reflects 70-80% of the cap guns dps. Make the shield costly-20-30 m and taking 300 cargo space- so everyone is happy. Such simple solutions could be introduced in all cases if one cares to implement them.
2: Add small dead penalty to every ship, huge penalties to battleship class but make it real battleship. Introduce chance to loose the base produced stuff by dieing. Add Base siege ship.
3: Cut the trade income and mining income by 80% It is more then clear that by getting the best stuff in 1 week play would not keep the players interested in game.
4: Kill or fix the barge class ships
5: Reduce the system numbers- cut all not needed stuff.
6: More stuff for official factions.
7: Cash wipe- I does not know if this is possible but it is better solution then wiping all accounts- just leave every ship with 1 million on it. It would fix the deflation in the economy.
From the whole story only the reducing of the systems is hard-it screws totally the trading and transport system and Xoria must re-do again everything but it is may be the most needed thing.4.85 Dublin showed us that interaction creates more interaction and more activity- rotating the mining bonus on different locations create even more activity and stop the silliness, having 2-3 times more systems then players is plain silly. The rest is really easy. Oversimplifying the game is killing it, also the other basic economy law- if the supply is bigger then the demand the demand decreases, if the demand is bigger then the supply the demand increases- it may sound illogical but this is how it works.

I agree with Govedo.
And I don't think radical cash wipe/income reduction and shipclass restrictions is that evil thing.
4.86 has way more freedom related to such stuff as capital ships, tech chart, and now two-hour rule.
Are you afraid of newcomers to leave because of harsh ingame environment, and that is why you force dev and admin team to allow more opportunities to players?
I bet more of newcomers leave because of the overall community attitude (As Spazzy shown us month ago) rather than from being unable to buy a battleship at first week-month.
I say to dev team what - guys, do not be afraid of radical changes, do not be afraid to say "no" to us, players.
No one would care of ten-twenty men leaving cause of their battleships been took away to officials or cause thier ores cost less. The ones who REALLY enjoys the roleplay, who loves disco - these will remain, and will accept such changes with additional effort and chalange.
There is way to much puss collected in many aspect of our gameplay, which makes people loose interest and leave.
So, either we imply some fresh logic to rules, prices and ship/gun characteristics or we end up as DoD to 4.90 with ten players average and /restart_battleship.
Sure thing I am saying it all with a good bit of overstatement, but that is what I see.
We are so much afraid of loosing people that we try to meet everyone's wish, and that makes them go.
Loosing people who just BSspam all over server is not much of a loss. Loosing miners who powermining with Ore is also np. Loosing people becaus. official faction will be more powerful over indies is not a big problem.
but unite all that and you will have problem.
though, I agree with you two guys. Changes of watever high level wont suit everyone. for me - now is all more less fine as it is. for now I just wait for Coalition capital ship turrets, remodeled Typhoon cruiser and Corsair Pirate transport. so in short - I wait for 87. lots of people left after 86 was made. Cant blame them. but if they left because their Kraken Sabres got nerfed to pretty standart level instead of OP - they shouldnt be here anyway. RP is what keeps me here, not OP stuff. if Id care only for PvP - Id fly Flashpoint Corsair Eagle. but I prefer RP setup that actually makes sense.
but I also would like to see Corsair fighter turrets to have 650 speed :3

So true... in 4.85 i was making around 45 mils/hour now I can easily make 120/hour and from there come all the cau8 everything. I think it's more than half a year from the last time I actually needed to make money and that was for a player base. Now I keep my balance around 1 billion credits. The ammo cost for my ships is very low and all the money in one month can be recovered with a 5 min battleship mission. For 6 months I feel I don't need any other ships.
Still, making money fast used in a constructive way is having more time to practice RP and PvP.
P.S to JayDee: flying a char with faction respective guns and ship isn't much about RP but about the dedication and passion you share for the respective faction. Hell, why would I fly a flashpoint corsair eagle? The only thing that difference me from the other is the tiny paper that tells the traders iRpirat

I love how all of the people who have been here forever say that a cash wipe is no big deal because they already have everything they want. Have you even considered the newer people who are still struggling to get things?
Either do a FULL account wipe so EVERYONE loses out or don't touch it at all
