Like in Planetside 2- you cannot write more then 3 msgs because the chat stops you in order to stop spammers. Make the same thing so it would give the people at least 30 sec before they open guns if you add to the rules that single setmsg does not allow PvP so it gives 30 or 60 sec time to RP depending on what is more practical.
I see the problem actually otherwise- it is not in the setmsgs it is in the lack of response time for the receiving party.

I only ever really used the /setmsg command for pirating, when I needed to quickly say "stop" or something, but I mean, really, just CD a ship and they're stopped for around 3 seconds, plenty of time to type something up.

If I have a say I say it in recording. This is like your telephone. In future you says there is no more recording this is not rp because we can see a text. Bring us back our recording for talking before the talk for without there is no hope!

PS: I have the feeling that the RP of the players was yesterday better than today.
I don't think losing a couple of people is going to affect their decision. Alot of people seem to act as if the admins never have the members in mind, there was obviously some thought behind it. Leaving is not going to change the way that decisions are made.
