"My first time with alcohol in general, rather", Jane answered, still looking slightly confused. "That program's supposed to make me more human" She looked at the next glass. "You sure that's a good idea?"
She paused for a second, then continued. "Physically your drink's just used to create energy, this program one of the bigger AIs wrote..." She giggled slightly, without any appareant reason. "... it seems to work... but it's weird" She took a sip from the glass.
"Common sense is the best distributed commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it." René Descartes
Finn chuckled at the sight before him, seeing what equated to an Android getting buzzed. He was curious though if he could push the bounds, to see how far the program went. But sense washed over him, and after seeing the dent in the table from her lack of restraint. "Thats called bein' buzzed lass. I'm surprised yer programming even enables ya to get this far! But, perhaps we'll keep ya in this state, and not have ya test ta bounds." he said with a chuckle.
"At least ya can fit it when socializing, albeit ta dent to meh table here! Again though, no matter." He set his drink down and leaned back, comfortable now after having a few glasses. "So, I must admit meh curiosity about ya. Specifically, what you were created for, and why ya are so interested in comin' here. Yes, you've mentioned some surface reasons, but someone like yerself comin' all the way here. Doesn't happen without a damned good reason lass" He gives a half smile.
"Someone like me? Do you mean androids, beautiful girls..." Jane giggles slightly. "... or Solar Runners?" She pulled her chair a bit closer to him and shaked her hair down. "I can do whatever I want. And this specific station did interest me, so why not just take a look if you have time and resources for that?"
She took another sip from her glass and pointed around with her hand. "This interests me" She pointed out to space behind a window. "That does." She pointed to the ceiling, then to the ground. "The station does" Then she pointed to the bar. "Even this does" She looked back to him. "And even you do. I'm terribly curious I guess", she said and gave him a smile, still looking not really sober.
"Common sense is the best distributed commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it." René Descartes
"No no lass, I mean you as a representative of the Runners, or Consensus. Or yourself. Heh, not sure what to make of it." He said with a chuckle. "Ya seem to be indicatin' that ya want me to almost, what... dissect you? Not sure I want to do that lass. While I'd be interested in seein' how advanced ya are, I find it oddly disturbing that ya want me to do such a thing. Also as to why ya felt ta need to come here to make such a request. Seems odd, is all"
With that, he leaned forward and took the last sip from his drink, unsure if he should order another. *Eh, what ta hell* he thought, and motioned for Gerald to bring another bottle over.
"So, I assume this is yer first time drinkin' this, or anything alcoholic in nature?" Finn said with a laugh, taking yet another sip.
"I... I'm advanced!", Jane told him and smiled. "And yes.... my first time with alcohol" She paused for a second and just stared forward. "It's an... I like the feeling. It's interesting" She gave him a drunk smile, then suddenly looked more serious. "Maybe I should, well... like reduce the strength or so. I got the feeling it's influencing me... my actions. Like as if I don't have full control anymore..."
She smiled again to Finn. "Thank you for showing me this ... feeling though. Really, yes. I like it" She suddenly took her glass and emptied the small rest remaining in it quickly. "It tastes well aswell. And for me coming here, I'm really curious... and maybe I also had too much freetime, so well" She giggled. "You don't want me here?", she joked and smiled, giving him time to answer now.
"Common sense is the best distributed commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it." René Descartes
Before he could answer, Finn's personal comm beeped at him in rapid fashion, which he knew meant that it required his immediate attention. "Excuse meh lass for a moment."
After about 20 minutes or so, he returned in a sweat, having just come running back. "I am so sorry lass, but matters that required meh full attention, albeit briefly, were needed. Surely ya can understand. Now, where were we." he said, tilting his head in thought, trying to remember where the conversation had left off.
"Ah yes, apologies. As far as ta alcohol, it is meh own brew. A variation of Dubliner Whiskey. Great stuff, though a tad potent to be honest! Maybe we should tone down ta drinks ya are havin'." With a twist of his head, finn cried out "Gerald! Bring ta lady a Sidewinder Fang!" Finn turned back and smiled at Jane. "Not sure what to have ya try, so figured I'd have you try a popular one among many patrons."
