Lou patted Darion on the back for moving that fast and switching out all the bottles. Unfortunately, Lou's office now was home to an assortment of alcohol, but better safe in here than in the hands of this Marcus and Cryoto fella.
"Seriously, you and the boys who helped get a free round later tonight! You moved almost all the bottles not in boxes, and were able to fill empty bottles with water and even add some coloring in there all in a matter of minutes? Damn, you make me proud boy!"Lou said with a chuckle.
Lou and Darion continued watching, as Marcus filled up his bag with the fake bottles, recording it the entire step of the way. Lou leaned over to Darius when Marcus was almost done, and whispered"Are you sure adding drops of laxative was needed? I mean. I appreciate a good prank for would-be thieves, but I don't want to have a mess on my hands... or, well your hands if they can't reach the exit in time."He laughed after saying that."You know what, no. This is going to be fun"
As Marcus left the storeroom, Lou walked out of his office and into the bar area, right as Marcus walked out from the back."Little lost lad? No worries, happens a lot."Lou reached out and put a hand on Marcus's shoulder, calmly but firmly ensuring he couldn't get away."Come, lets have a drink and I'll tell you a story of when I got lost my first time on Sabah."He motioned to Cryoto when walking by"You lad look like you could use a good story lad as well, standing there all alone. DARION! A bottle of your finest for these gentlemen!"Lou yelled.
As Lou and the two boys sat down, he noticed how careful Marcus was in setting down the bag fill of bottles, trying his best not to have the bottles clank against one another and give away his secret stash. As Darion approached, he set down a bottle and gave Lou a very subtle wink, and left. Lou poured both of them a drink, and raised his own glass he had been carrying."A toast to stories and adventures, and times never to be forgotten!"He watched intently as they both glanced at eachother, and then sipped their drink.
"Now, where to begin. It's a long one, so get comfortable! Lets see here. Ah yes! It was back when I was a young lad..."
Peter Williams had never been happier in his life, he was engaged to the most beautiful woman he had ever met, and they were more than likely going to be having a child. Deciding to share some of his happiness, he headed to the Ambrosia, having heard it was the place to go if you flew for the Republic.
Peter walked into the Ambrosia and looked around for a second, noticing a member of the Hell's Angels and one of the new Warrant officers sitting with an older man at the bar. He decided to join them, and as he walked up to the bar he heard the older man say something about telling them a story.
He sat on the unoccupied stool next to the man telling the story and starts looking at the list of drinks available. "I'll have a mead.", he said in the direction of the bartender, silently thanking the man as his drink was handed to him. He then turned to look at the men seated to his side and nodded at them as he started listening to their conversation.
Cryoto was excitedly drinking his drink when he begun to have a foul feeling stir from within his stomach... "Oof..." He said, holding himself "That doesn't feel good". "Erm, excuse me guys but I er... need to use the bathroom real quick, I'll be right back ok?" He said before quickly running off to use the lavatory.
Who would've thought Lou is such a sneaky ol' bastard? Of course, not Marcus. After being greeted in a friendly manner by Lou, he grinned, thinking. Oh god we're good...
But of course, moments later after taking a few sips from his drink... something started feeling wrong. He bent a bit over the table, placing one hand on his stomach and said. "Uh... Excuse me." He then stood up (moment at which an odd sound could be heard at his back) and ran away to the men's room. "Oh boy, what did that young man got himself into now?" Daniel asked himself while he noticed Marcus running off.
"Anyway... Lou, here you were. I've been trying to get a hang of you all night. Say, did you give something to drink to the boys at the docking bay, while on job?" He inquired with a chuckle, but before the Maestro could answer he turned to the new-face standing nearby (F.O. Williams) and said. "Hey, you must be new. What do we call you?"
"Flight Officer Williams of the Firebirds, callsing is Deadshot, nice to meet you." he said, turning to face the other men. "Please tell me I'm not going to have the same thing happen to me that you did to those two guys." he says, taking a long sip of his mead.
"I get it if they did something to you and that was just payback, but I'd rather keep my intestines the way they are. So who are you guys anyway?"he said, looking at the two men with an inquisitive look.
"Heh, I'm Daniel Wilgrin, one of your day-to-day Mover." He responded with a Chuckle, after shaking Peter's hand. "Oh and no, you'll probably be fine. Lou usually has a reason for doing this to some of the patrons now and again. I guess the boys in the 15th never stay out of trouble... and my nephew is one of 'em. But he's a good boy." He finished with a melancholic smile.
"Anyway, you say you're with the 49th, eh?." He asked while moving his sight over the entire bar... then continued "So i assume you're on leave right now, since you came all the way to Sabah."
"You must know Lauren then if you're in the Movers, she's the reason I'm down here." he says, a large smile crossing his face as he mentions Lauren."But yeah, I'm on leave right now, figured I would hit the bar while I could."
"How's life in the Movers anyway? You guys got any big jobs going on currently?"he asked, taking another large sip of his beer.
"Aye, i know miss Hay. Rather lazy from time to time, but other than that she does her job like any one of us." He responds with a smile and takes a small pause.
"Ah, what can i say. We're always moving, if you catch my drift. It can be hard sometimes but it holds the Republic strong, and that's what matters, right? You military boys and girls need new ships everyday, don't you?" He laughed.
"As for big stuff, well i don't know. Lou just arranged for us to get some stuff at Sabah since i hear we're refitting a Barge. Could be interesting but i'll leave the details for the tech-squad."
Lou laughed heartily at the sight of the two men running to the bathroom. "Now this is something they won't soon forget!"
Looking at the other two, Lou chimed in. "Heh, don't worry lads. You didn't do anything deserving of what I gave 'em. They were plotting to grab as much bottles as they could from my storeroom." He gave a small kick to the bag of bottles under the table, causing a clanking sound. "Instead of just reporting them to their superior officers, figured I'd have some fun of my own first. But anyway, nice to meet you Williams. Ya said you're here to meet Lauren? Nice gal. Proficient, which I like about her."
Lou motioned to the two glasses of theirs on the table. "Fancy another round? On me of course. And don't worry, I won't make any 'special' drinks for you two." he said with a chuckle, walking up to the bar. He told the bartender to pour two pints of Old Crayter Ale.
"Here you go lads. Enjoy!" he said as he sat down, putting the two glasses in front of them.
"You may have misunderstood what I meant, I've already met with Lauren, though you won't be calling her Hay anymore."he says, with a massive grin, "I actually don't know too many of the people in the squadron yet, and you seem like nice enough guys, so I'll ask you this." he says with an even larger grin, "Either of you lads interested in being my best man?"
He looks from one man to the other, taking a large sip of his ale. "Oh and since this is a special occasion. I'd like to buy a round for everyone here."He sips his ale again, waiting to see the reactions of both men.
