Why not take the Bret Carrier and model it as the daddy of the Bret Destroyer,

so take the chin of this:


and remodel the chin to be a larger version of this while keeping the carrier body the same:



Such a chin on the Bret Carrier is technically more pleasing to look at and in line with the bret ships that already exist!!

What do you think, Hollow Chin for Carrier?

I kind of like the chin. Bretonian designs are always weird and .. ugly, so it fits.

Seems to me that using the Destroyer chin on the Carrier would just add more to space to hit. I'd rather suggest maybe cut the chin in half...and then slide the bottom half up and behind the first half to give it more of a "thick neck" look.

Nah I don't agree, the body of the carrier is already visually stunning. Jinx has more than enough capabilities to remodel that chin into a hollow type dessy chin and make it look amazing.

Which would add more design perspective having a thick neck like you suggest means it will just be like a stockier looking Dunkirk.....

I do like the "Knight's Visor" style grating instead of that awful decorative balcony. Looks a bit more military at least, even if it serves no tactical purpose.

It serves no purpose at all. I dislike that grating more than the chin. Otherwise, it is a pretty neat ship.

I fully agree with Thyrzul. The visor is useless. I woud both be inRP a waste of resources and ingame a problem, as it could get small roids stuck in (depending on size; but some debris in debris fields, and some roids are small enough, and could become a REAL pain). Also, in my opinion the body of the ship is a little... well, too thin, compared to the chin. There should at least be an extension, a slope, from the chin to the underside. And yeah, make the bays a little smaller/pointing backwards, cuz that always become a pain later on. Otherwise it looks great.
