Honestly, aside from the bit about 2006 (because I think that's just the original post date, and that the text itself has been edited far more recently than 7 years ago) this pretty much rings true, in the majority of cases.

Out of interest, though, is this change being implemented because of a particular incident or something similar, or is it just being changed for the hell of it?

The reason I ask is that now that I'm writing this, I can think of one or two potential faction status pages which might have brought this up. I noticed a certain page receiving a very significant update recently, and I'm wondering if that had anything to do with this.

Some aren't capable of adhering to reasonable boundaries, though, which is my guess at why this has been implemented.

That said, I'm wondering whether the administration team intend to just apply this rule from now onwards, or if they plan to address the problem that kicked it off as well.

Especially as this is not the first time, either.

I think the reasons justify the action. The problems come from the fact that you were using the faction thread for more then it's purpose. Make separate threads for roosters, the faction thread is supposed to say who we are and what we do around here.

And lets's start bothering mods, there are a lot of them out right now anyway.
