If you read what I said you see that it was the Corsair that docked on Naha.
Allright... you communicate and revenge-kill.
About the "trader" (in mining ship, don't remember number)... he died (or was disintegrated). He was given last chance btw. Guess machines have pride as well, because I don't see any logic in losing the ship and cargo instead of paying. And btw. I didn't say how much I wanted.. if he gave me at least 500k I would probably let him go.
But no I didn't kill the Talarca that attacked me when I have 10 nanobots left (after fighting the Miner and GB)

Also any comments to the other point?

1. Saw something like revenge yesterday which I didn't fancy... I pirated one Harvester that was hauling diamonds to New Tokyo. I was on my Blood Dragon and it was in Honshu. I told him he's supporting the Kusari regime this way and that he should not do it.. and pay a fee. After some more talking he started "harvesting" so he was destroyed.
In the middle of it a Corsair GB started shooting me.... so I attacked him after.. and pursued him to Naha (where he docked:nono:). Just as I came to Naha another Harvester in a Talarca attacked me almost without warning. Revenge and machines don't work for me.
2. I see you getting bigger and bigger ships... 2 Talarcas and one zoner destroyer in one group?
1. Revenge? No. You attacked him, he transmitted to me, i attacked. I had no idea about taxing and other, just that he was attacked. If you mess with one, you mess with all. No revenge there, just protecting our Parts.
And i did say "Harvesting BD Parts." I try to say a line when ever i harvest.
No idea about that corsair.
2. Talarca is the biggest i go. It is almost like a GB with stronger shields in my opinion.
We are attacked by most factions now, so no wonder we have groups like that. You have no idea what they are sending on us.
I will let the other one explain why he choose to die instead of paying.
EDIT: And yes it is revenge... since the first one was dead... and I didn't attack you. Reason for attacking him was that he was bringing diamonds for kusari.

a) "They capwhore us so we capwhore them"... will not get far as an explanation
b) No problem meeting a lone cruiser... 3 together is a bit much.
c) You can survive just as good in a bomber or small GB. And your objective should be to harvest and survive right?

' Wrote:"If you dont like our rules then you dont like us." - yes. I don't like any who attack others which didn't give him any reason.
You attack zoner's trade vessels, so you are pirate. you use cap.ships to do that, so you are dirty pirate. (it is nothing personal - i am talking about game faction).
it is easy to take zoners as target, because of they like peace, they were neutral for others, they don't have many cap.ships, and they don't have real friends, so nobody will care about them. (similar to xenos).
I don't see corsairs friendly to zoners. they are neighbours so they have to tolerate itself.
btw. corsairs and outcasts are not simply pirates. they are big and strong and I see them like other Houses.
about bio and machine relations - read Gregory Benford: Galactic Center Series, you will see why AI machines should be hostile to bio.
"Many aof us are playing this because it does have the element of the unexpected and unknown." -
yes I understand this. I played this mod with friend on Lan up to lvl 80 and cruiser and I know each system and jump hole. I came here to find something more. but I am a little confused of this what I found.
you should see that many ppl. just run away or dock anywhere then they see another player on scanner, even not hostile. I see that on this server are only traders and pirates hunting on them. there is not active police or navy. so, next faction hostile to traders and neutral to police makes ppl. more scared.
Personally I don't care about harvesters. I wrote this because of theirs relations are not so logical and they shouldn't use cap.ships. but it is only my thinking.
Have you been killed by a harvester? Or did one say some strange text to you and shoot your shields down less than half way while you docked safely. Also were you not asked if you knew about Harvesters and told they would pretend they didnt see you so you could get caught up to speed? Well get caught up, there is alot of politics in play here not on vinnilla or LAN that are only here.
We use capital ships now (we started with Kith Sam Taaw fighters) because everyone is attacking us. We hunt only Zoners for story purposes that the player faction are aware of and accept. If your a new independent Zoner I can understand your confusion that is why I spared you in Omega 3, yet you forgot to mention how I told you about the forums and asked you before I attacked for real and then backed off and let you be. No you come to my thread and spread slander acting innocent. No, talk to some other Zoners and see what they say, better yet read the Zoner council, Chronicles of Scorn, and the TAZ message dumps. What you wish and our RP are two different things. I did not force you to be apart of it and, I will not.
So, please be kind and stop embarrassing yourself on this thread by saying it not logical when you admit to not haveing mastery of the language and thus probally havent read or fully understood it in it's entirety.
I am not Gregory Benford this is a original idea not his. Also the Zoners if you joined them in more than just name, have a fleet big enought to crush all the houses individualy.
That is all before I start to flame, I'm tired and will move on. I'm sorry I dont fit your mold but this is not your faction.

Now your flameing. If you want answers I can provide them. If want to understand we can do that. But if you just like to play a different way then tough. I fly a cap because my reflexes are average, my foes are many, and I like to say something before I die.
If you are proclaiming you can do just as fine in a bomber then why are you complaining you had the bomber we had the miner and LIGHT criuser. The miner was finished (I might be wrong) before the Talarca showed up.
Corsairs are not our so dont get hot at us over that. Check you long range scanners for friendlies, and enemies before you go piccking new fights(pirateing). You attacked us and could have gone on with your life but you chose to attack a machine unafraid of death, and a willing sacrifice itself to potentially retain, remove and recycle one more hostile part in addition to it self, thus gaining more material than was originally lost. That is our logic.
The term Cap whore is crap. Heck, nothing does more damage than a bomber, which can thrust 200 and not a miner, with the criuse rules the way they are I think that fight was one sided and the cap pilots shouldnt be the ones ridiculed. I mean if a bomber can do more than 125000 hull damage for what 50000 energy, how is it you can feel whored by a ship with its most powerful weapons doing 45000 hull costing 500000 energy? Not that that would ever hit a fighter class ship.
Some of our objective are to harvest and survive but, you might assume the accual harvesters are the ones trying to survive. They are not they are extentions like tenicles of a single intellect. Individual units are expendable.
I'm sure plenty of traders feel Bomber whored too. It one of the dynamics of the game, a good player can adapt.
Size doesnt matter its how you use it. If you got killed then oh well. You escaped and your mad you could not intimidate a machine.
But from what I heard so far no rules breaking just not played the way you'd like. If I'm wrong correct me.
1. I still don't see the logic why one machine would choose to cease to exist instead of paying some amount of money.
2. As I wrote in the previous answer. The one Talarca was ok, no problem. The only result was one damaged cruiser (half hull and no bats/bots), and my bomber got down to half hull (since I was attacked with whole 10 nanobots in my hold)..
--------------------------------------------
There was a reason why I separated the very first post..... it was two separate incidents
My problem with you and capships is when it comes to many capships in the same place.
You surely can't expect to waltz trough Rheinland or any other house with 3 cruisers without getting into trouble?

off topic (you started):
About bomber vs capwhoring
The reason why I don't see anything wrong with bomber whoring is because you need skill to take even a trader in a bomber. Your shields get down after 1-2 salvos, or in less than a second of fire from transport and up. In a capship you can virtually hide behind your shield and wait for his mistake.
So I see pirating in a GB as totally unfair and lazy.
Pirating in a bomber as reasonably fair... the bomber has advantage but still the trader can get away from it. Bomber needs to dodge a lot and time and aim supernova shots right.
Pirating in a fighter is unfair to the fighter pilot ... it takes a lot of effort and time to take down a transport with LVL 4 turrets. During which he can travel over 20k on thruster... which will usually get him to safety.
About hitting fighter class ships with transport/gbs/cruiser guns..... learn to aim These guns are fast so you can hit with them... no big problem.

"I can understand your confusion that is why I spared you in Omega 3" -
I don't know what are you talking about. I didn't meet you ever and I didn't talk with you on server. I saw you on scanner on sigma 17 but only for a moment and far away. You may kill me any time if you meet me. I don't care about this.
You are right I am not a master in your language, I am only trying to understand you. I can write my thoughts precisely in my language, but I am sure you won't understand any word. I know you want all The World should use your language, but trust me the World is bigger than you think.
And sorry I didn't know that I am not allowed to write my opinion in this thread or on this forum. I won't disturb you any more.....
All right guys, my understanding is that this thread was started by scornstar for comments on the harvesters ROLEPLAY.
Not for comments on their tactics.
@tyro, scornstar has been extremely patiant and repeatedly tried to explain and answer your concerns. Theres no need to have a go at him for any reason. If you still don't understand why he's doign things this way then theres no way he can explain it any way else.
@mjolnir: If you don't like the tactics they use, then please start another thread about it, or pm scornstar.
@ScornStar: Please don't let this thread devolve into flames, if don't look at it for awhile you might be in a different frame of mind.
1) Harvesters seem to shoot back AFTER being shot at first. I have heard of cases where a pirate/house military player was attacking a Harvester, and after a few monents, More Harvesters will 'warp-in' and start auto attacking. This seems to make sence to me. If your attacking one part of 'a machine, expect the other parts to come to a defence'
2) They seem to tend to target NPC's. I have seen a few just sit in on spot, and shot at the NPC's ( that were shooting at them first.) In one case, A couple of Harvesters where 'hunting' The Wilds at S-13.
By ALL MEANS, since i am a trader....please feel free to kill all the Wilds you can.
BLazes, i'll even pay you guys, if you keep a path clear and safe for me & other traders.
3) Don't try to hi-jack thier cargo. Harvesters get pretty defencive if you try to take thier... parts?? (pilots)
4) I noticed that they seem to collect pilots......1 of whatever that had attacked them. I am guessing that the Harvesters have a ' Who can catch the most' game going on the side. Maybe a twisted version of Pokimon?
''Gotta to catch them all.....''
5) This is new: Now they seem to be going after Zoners players. Preferally, Zoners players that have been on the game awhile.
6) The talking Harvesters remind me of the old Moives of computer IA's:
Geisha_Maiko: How are you doing?
