I am fairly new to modding, and I am struggling. I can modify the way ships look, equipment specs, and vary basic basic things; “notepad”... I play a modded single player Discovery, and LAN with friends but I keep a copy of normal Discovery around for online. What I want to do is increase the number of AI ships there is, particularly during bandit, or pirate raids, or trade-lane disruptions. I think 7-10 ships would be nice instead of just two or three. I would also like the AI to use cruise disruptors again. In other-words I would like the AI to be scary again. If anyone can help me understand how to change this I would appreciate it. Or if you can Email me modified files that would accomplish what I want I would appreciate it. Please use small terms, as I have difficulties understanding.
Ps; sorry if I posted in the wrong place, as this is the first online blog community I have joined.

To get CDs on NPC ships, the launcher (and ammo) needs to be added to their loadouts in the respective INI.
I do not have any INI files. or at least i can not find one
... have you actually tried looking through the game files?
I would strongly recommend looking up tutorials and guides for the fundamentals of Freelancer modding so that you get a basic understand of what you're dealing with.
Do you want a specific system or spot in the system for this?
I could make you a custom Connecticut hellzone for you and your mate to frak around in.
Something along the lines of this:
