So, after reading the Olympus Yacht thread, I started drooling over ship designs again. If it is still available, I would like to suggest the OSC Mobile Headquarters for the carrier design.
i like it. a liner/carrier that can be used by anyone in sirius. This development bodes well for some plans.
@Doria and @Chance no. the fearless should not be touched. its designed for defence. The corvo is the corvo. its no great loss, except to those zoners who use it in an armed fashion.

Combined with jumpdrive that would make new ship very powerful, especially for raids.
So a military civilian ship? Strange replacement for a barge that is so called used like a flying base/ refinery? So this is a Military/police only ship then? By lore it would suit it more in this direction.
Just a guess here, but I think they may intend to add freighters to the docking capability. That way, the jump trading is reduced, but not eliminated, while still encouraging group activity.
At the same time, you wouldn't have a well armed fleet of Transports moving into an area. After all, the freighters are not going to be the same level of defensive capability.
I am perfectly okay with the Civilians getting a carrier, it means we can casually brush aside anyone who claims that "Zoners can't have this thing because reasons"
Civvies have a carrier, your argument is invalid, while it may be ooRP classed as a liner inRP it's a light carrier.
I'm okay with the loss of a cruiser (Admittedly I don't own one and can completely understand the annoyance of those people who do own them) for the opportunity to move the Zoner faction as a whole forward.

So, if I'm getting right, you will use this example of silliness to justify your own in the future, right?

This is as solid as XA- calling their Pelicans battleships (or cruisers maybe, can't remember exactly, Evo or someone correct me if I didn't guess the class correctly).

Try harder.
I think the one you are thinking of is the Xeno hegemon BSes.

You're entirely right Gytrash. Ignoring the fact that the ships are actually going to be reclassed as a liner and gunboat (and therefore aren't actually caps), logic does dictate that 2 wrongs makes a right. I mean, if I were to make a mistake, I would only need to repeat that mistake for the first one to be completely justified and correct.

Your argument is invalid because Violets are in fact violet, not blue.
P.S: The much flamed upon proposed overhaul of Zoner caps would've actually turned their full line of full-on warships into a definition of "capital vessels" more in line with the concept of Bustard - Capital ships that aren't warships. Amusingly ironic that you burst into flames when that one was proposed but consider this one perfectly ok; and since you consider this one perfectly ok, maybe we should now revisit that idea as well, considering things are more in perspective now.
